Amazing Old Pocket Knife Restoration. Miniature Knife Fish
Unique old pocket knife restoration. Miniature knife fish. This rusty pocket knife was made in the late 19th early 20th century. The knife was found at the site of a military camp of the German troops of the First World War. The knife is made in the shape of a fish. This pocket knife is very small, which makes it unique and rare.
I decided to restore this rusty knife. Removed the rust, made a new blade and handle from deer antler. I hope you like my restoration.

This fish is a small knife keychain. I remember these in the late 80's

I remember having one that looked like a mini swiss army knife! Ahh those were the good old days! Not a single soul cared that a 10 year old had a ”knife”.

I think I remember these little pocket knives too.
It’s so tiny,it’s adorable 😭😭
Great video once again, and finally one I can share some insight on, about what's being restored at least! I cannot be 100% sure, but I'm 99.99% certain that this little beauty is the iconic Mikov "rybička" (small fish) knife. It's a small pocket knife produced by the Mikov company in Czechia but it is also exported in other countries, such as Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland. In all of them but primarily in its own country of origin it has become quite of a cult symbol: everyone has had one at some point, many of us could probably find one of those at the back of a junk drawer or something, and even to this day many people carry one on themselves every day (I have two myself, one as a keychain and one in my urban survival kit). Its compact size, attractive look, and quality material are all reasons for its popularity, but the fact that its also pretty cheap and easy to buy anywhere (especially in Czechia) is what has made it an all-time classic. You can buy one for yourself from the company's official website or on Amazon, and if you're a collector you can even get a sterling silver or even gold-plated version of the iconic design! Thanks for restoring this one and using your skills to make it truly unique!
Didn't expect there will be so much of work for such a little piece. Lovely restoration mate❤️
Great craftsmanship, as usual. Khay zhyve Ukrayina!

Great job on new blade
😃😃😃😃 I still have mine from when I was a kid!!!!!!!

A fin piece of work. New scales as well...
My late great grandma gave me one almost exactly like this! Same materials and size, just not a fish. I put it on a necklace chain and wear it almost every day
Great work! This hungarian pocket knife: halas bicska. :)
Jesus has been looking for his pocket knife for almost 2,000 years!
That turned out so adorable. A little fish knife ❤
That's a Sziráki halas knife. Made in Hungary.

Hey, I've got one of those knives😳 Was a gift from my grandmother.
Beautiful restoration! Great little knife for a collection. I was expecting you to add the thumb jimping on the back of the blade for the dorsal fin rays
It can be a "hamsi çakı" which is a very traditional tiny knife used in the north east part of Turkey. I heard It was generally used for nail cutting. As Germans were alias with Ottoman Empire during First World War, It might be a gift for a German officer. Anyway, a good restoration video :).
It looks great an excellent restoration!! You did a marvelous job restoring it since most would have thrown it in the garbage!! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up Glory To Ukraine!!!!!!
Great job and a great asmr video .

Very nice job, very clean!! Great remodeled, basically a brand new knife!!!
I bet if you got a hold of a metal detecting channel, you can do a collaboration video. They often find knives. Maybe offer you a knife to keep out of every couple knives they send, you return one and include a portion of their video or link to the video find. Quarter hoarder is a great guy. He and his friends hunt together. Depends on your location too.. i use to watch several around the world. Find someone near you or in country.

Hello! I have a channel about searching with a metal detector)
Absolutely beautiful.
Hello mister beautiful knife beautifully restored well done
Great job remaking the blade without any big sanders and such, I love restoration stuff using minimal power tool's or using simple stuff like a dremel tool at most.
extraordinary work done by skilled hands
Wish I could sharpen a knife blade, everytime I try I make it duller...
Excellent Restoration!
Very Nice!!!!!!
Excellent job dude 👏👏👏 !!! Beautiful result and well worth it. 😎
Beautiful restoration
Brilliant, really good quality work
Finally a real restoration instead of some good tool painted brown and dirt covered on it
They sold billions of those knives in the 60s-70s.
beautiful pocket knife
Looks great.😊
It’s cool but the only thing that annoys me is that he grinds down the whole thing but only needs a small piece like bogus lol
Is so cute omg~
never seen a fish like that before
"Halasbicska", an emblematic folding knife from the 19th century in Southern part of Hungary around the Tisza river. Maybe a Ruthenian raftsman bought itin Szeged and took home, or a Hungarian soldier lost it in the WW1.
oh man, that blade was just gone!
Very nice!
Bravo!
my face when i realized the top and bottom were not in fact wooden but heavily rusted
Lol, a rybička knife. Like the one I forgot to remove from my bag before I visited Prague Castle last week 😂 The nice guard let me keep my tiny fish knife, but I felt like a complete and utter moron.
Good work!
Wow to see something like that restored is incredible.
Very great work ☆

A mighty well job I may ask .😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice jig
I'd say that's average size guys.
All. The. Sanding.
👏💪👌
I love everything except the little locking piece in the bottom. If you could make that little blade I guess you could have made thst locking piece. Just my opinion. It's still a beautiful restoration. ~Kevin
