I love the Ready Hour food. I usually buy the Travelers Stew #10 Cans. Last week I bought 3 #10 cans for $47. They are usually $25 a can. I also bought #10 can of Honey powder which I believe has close to 300 servings. Last year I spoke with owner by phone, a real nice guy. The only other company I use is Augusten's farms, which is sold at Walmart. Good video. ps Every time I buy something you have a review of the items I just bought. eg Vesta stone and heater to name one of many.

I boil the water slice open the pkts measure out how much water then pour it in the pkt stir it up with a wooden spoon then reseal it for 15 minutes. Open it up and it is ready to eat and still stinking hot. Saves a lot of dishes and stuffing around and eat it right out of the pkt.

72 hour kit for $27.00? Last week i had 7 of these 72 hour kits delivered from My Patriot Supply $113.00 = $16.00 each. (that price included my 10% Veteran Discount.) Shortly after that I bought another 3 month Supply for $597.00 minus my 10% Discount $537.99. *FJB !*

So if you bought 30 72 hour kits at $16.00 each, it would have been $480.00 for the three month supply. But yeah i get it the 3 month kit would have less repeated products.

Just be creative with supermarket products. For example ( u select products u want or like). An easy few selections for me might be 3 cans ravioli for lunches. A box of oatmeal packets. 3 cans chunky soup for dinners. No. It's not going to last 25 years (ok, the oatmeal can if properly repackaged) but thats around $15 bucks. You could always eat when close to the best by date or donate and replace with new at your next shopping. Again, it won't last 25 Years, but then again no cooking/water's required for 2/3 the items. Just a thought. Plus if they had build your own kit they wouldn't charge so little. 😃

@dgunearthed7859 I already have short term MRE's like you're describing. I would like some long term, affordable meals. And I understand it's not a problem for most people. And as for the price, that's what makes them sales, or specials. But I work for minimum wage. I can't afford to buy freeze dried food unless it's on sale, and even then I have trouble because most of the "bulk sales" are filled with cheesy things. I don't like cheese.
