Amazing Night Fishing - GIANT 4' AMERICAN EEL - Huge White Perch - Big Bullhead Catfish. Bugs, spiders, bats and a big summer moon in the black of night. Caught a huge perch on the dusk and kept him for dinner and bait. Scales lured them in and the fatty belly strips were superb. The bullheads soon came out and in nice size. I kept a few for dinner. The fishing was good. I dropped a few more baits for a few more fish before I started to pull anchor and pack gear. I soon saw the rod double over and a great fish on. The boat was mulling with the fish. At first glance and fight I thought I had a night trophy pickerel. To my amazement and even better, it was a giant eel over 4+ long!

When eels live their entire lives in fresh water, they don't develop sexualy, and usually grow quite large. Thanks for another great video, Jerry.

Eel slime...got to love it. Real nice one for a lake. When I was a kid if I caught 1 it had to come home for Grand Pa.

Very cool...again! Whenever I see an eel this length I think, "I hope these things can't mate with those Burmese pythons that are taking over the Florida Everglades"...they've been known to kill deer! 😬😵 Enough with my phobias...nice catch and videos as always Jerry. Tightest...

Yea I kinda was having snake flashbacks but telling myself its not a snake I get it! I rememberd the last minute what they can do to the net so took the chance of swinging him over! So cool to see it I had one once 3x as big that was an experience! Thanks as always frank

Ha! I thought it was a night pickerel at first glance then saw the slithering! Gold gold gold! Had one bigger then that when I was kid at flushing meadows that one was just enormous!!! The do get BIG! Thanks James!
That was incredible…as you were reeling in you were able to see slightly the boat going in that direction…great catch and another great video.

That size of eel I have caught a few. But mostly when I am doing professional electro-fishing. 😉 That one is perfect for smoking!!!

Hi Jerry, It tends to rain in the afternoon during the summer. When I was stationed in Jacksonville, when I was in the Navy, 1968. It rained every day at 2 PM for 20 minutes and then it was sunny again. I hear it's been hot up there this summer. Have fun and good luck, Mickey

Wow nice eel….my son and I caught one that size recently in a boatyard on the island while doing some snapper fishing in the afternoon we dropped a live Killy on the bottom for the heck of it and came up with a monster like yours. They are a great fight. Great video….PS. burn that rag lol. Eel slime is the worst!.

It was way cool! I had kept some catys so I had plenty at that point but yea they are delicious! That bread is a Uzbek bread I think Obi Non, the are all over my neighbor hood and i like them. A very simple bread great when fresh and after a day I just water and put in the oven even better! I love simple things if you have not noticed!

@@FishYourWay I sure did. Simple is something we've lost in New generations. Food wise especially. You can't taste all of the little nuances of flavor when your dish is over complicated. I've always enjoyed munching my way thru different ethnic neighborhoods.... Sadly up here there's not much to offer up here in that dept. I've read about Tashkent market over in Brighton, those kind of places really get me going. I like them when they're open all night. Now I'm hungry lol
