He can't unless he's only catching ones that aren't sexually mature but i couldn't tell from the video of thats what he was doing or not. They are fairly easy to distinguish adult from non mature but if he is trying to sell them as sexed pairs then he is picking adults and thus its likely babies lost parents and wont survive unless another pair takes over feeding.

@@djdB you're right and we honed the skills by intently observing your birds regularly. The parents stocks have dirty beaks and dark noses and strong bodies.

hi Dexter, I am a fan of your videos. i love your work. but i did want to give some feedback. when it comes to handling birds please dont catch them with your hand since that might injure them. best to use a small net.

Dexter how do you know your not taking a mommy bird and her babies are left unattended?

It appeared he was only harvesting the young babies, or as he called them "birdlings", that are just out of the nest and to young to breed. You can tell Them apart by the stripes on their forehead.

It's good to use a net trap to catch the birds. Avoid causing injuries to the budgie. Anyways I love your videos. Recently started following your channel and I love what you do. Been learning a lot from you because I also breed budgies. Keep it up bro. Love and respect from 🇬🇾.

Band the babies about 4 days after they're born. Then you can catch the banded parakeets to sell when they are old enough. It seems the way you're doing it might leave some babies without the hens to feed them and you are breaking apart mated pairs.

Eh, if the eyes are full black, they are definitely young. Aside from some mutations but distinguishing young from old is fairly easy. And yes banding is of high importance.

Keep some of the pied parakeets for future breeding, I think they'll sell quicker than the blues and greens

In Zamboanga City, Phillipines.

To easily identify the breeding pairs from the rest you should have a color coding rings. Put rings on the baby birds as long as they started to have feathers. Also use a catch net or wear gloves when catching them. Parakeet bite can cause bleeding and is painful.

just make the cage big like 4x6 meters because they will multiply so quickly.

Hello Dexter, I love the budgie's! When i was breeding them, my young daughter tried to mix them with cockatiels, socially, a big no-no! The budgie became very aggressive! Since that experiment we realized not to mix them! Here in the U.S. Budgies sell for about 15- 25 dollars a piece. It is always better to get a pair, for company, they make a lot of noise! They also need to be let out of a confining cage for exercise, and an expendable cage cover for roosting, has they will also get up at early hour every morning! Do not get a budgie unless you understand what they require! The diet here in the states is a different one from where Dexter is. Consult a local pet store, or go online for best results! Prices on bugies went up now there selling from $40 to $50 bucks in the US and that is for non tame

In Pakistan $2 per mature piece. Compared to US we can buy 100 budgies for your 2 pairs.

@@roohullah3574 So, here in the states, they sell 20 budgies a wk, that is, lets say, 600 dollars, and for you to make that, you would need to sell 300 birds!. Volume is not always better!
