Loki is a three year old dog who is extremely skilful, he learns new things quickly and easily and this is a video of a few tricks that Loki knows.

I've have my second australian cattle dog now and must say these dogs are very special. I adopted both of mine from shelters and they have been a blast to have in the family.

I had a ACD. He was very sweet, but a handful. He was a rescue, because he nipped at people - he’d been abused. I got him from the county animal control, and they told me he was so smart he only needed to be told 3 times how to do something, which was true. They also said he’d be very protective, which he was.

Nice job training him. Our first ACD was named Loki. He had similar coloring, but his eye patch was on the opposite eye. He loved playing fetch with sticks more than anything in the word. I once said that he's play fetch until he dropped dead, and that's about what happened when we lost him. He was a fantastic dog, but admittedly, not nearly so well trained as yours.
Keep him thin and he'll go 14-15 years in my experience. Wouldn't be without one.

Until just recently it was an Australian cattle dog that had lived the longest. Over 29 years. A record a century old. Now it's a dog from Portugal. Over 30 years.
