Have been in Scotland several times staying in one farm on lochh Rannock These videos remind me of the😢wonderful time with the farmers family with3 boys (triplets!!)they had 3 dogs operating in the fields (One time the female had about 8 puppies . I was allowed by her to seat by her side znd the little ones climbing on me for cuddles ...the farmer was not far for my security as they are quite fierce when it comes to guard their babies znd sheeps

You're probably in the wrong career then. When I was in my early 20s a very successful person told me the key to success was just doing what you love. That's it. If you do that, success will follow down the road. I decided to follow his advice even though it seemed silly and somewhat childish to me at the time, but he was totally right.

In my humble opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than sheep dogs working at the hands of a loving shepherd. Since I was a girl of seven years, when I got to see sheep worked in New Zealand, I have loved nothing more. I taught myself to spin, weave, knit and crochet. I owned a small flock of 4 ewes and had a boarder collie that needed no training. She just naturally did what I thought in my mind for her to do. This was the best time of my life. You are very blessed, Sean.

Before the dogs start their job, they can hardly contain themselves with excitement & enthusiasm waiting for your command. You & the dogs are wonderful. I had 2 border collies once. I knew a pair of Birder Collies, old Sam and crazy Sky... Sky would herd the horses in the stalls.... the horses were contained, and she thought she was helping....

I find these dogs absolutely fascinating to watch.. Well cared for and loved too...

You’ve just made me cry! My father was from Aberdeen, he loved it dearly. We lived abroad due to his job but we went back every 2-3 years. He taught us to love it too which wasn’t hard, though we I live in Florida now I still go back when I can but at 71 and not in the greatest health it’s not easy so I watch Sean instead. 💕🥰💕🥰💕

I've read other comments from people who have lived there or visited there who, like you, watch Sean and the pups to be reminded of their special memories. Awesome to watch these dogs do what they were bred to do. I'm especially impressed with their ability to work with each other and work to your whistle. You can see the satisfaction in their faces when you call them "Up" at the end!

They look like they’re having a blast !

So obvious how much these dogs love their job. They are just quivering with anticipation of that first chase. Love seeing intelligent well trained dogs doing their job.

I figure herding dogs who are able to do exactly what they were bred for and are so loved and well taken care of are probably the happiest dogs on the planet. And that makes me happy.

Working animals are happiest doing what they supposed to do. This and the Budweiser Clydesdales are great examples of the beautiful nature of working animals

When I was a kid, my dad was a herder for a large sheep ranch, over 5000 head. Dad would herd about 2500 in high mountains of Oregon Eagle caps with his 2 horses and 2 dogs. He controlled dogs with whistles and code words. The dogs loved working. Good memories

My house is being built so we are in an apartment. I take my Border/Aussie out and work with her the first couple times there were a couple people out on their deck watching. Now that it’s getting nice a lot of people have their doors open. This last time as we were walking out there all I heard were people saying the guy with the cattle dog is going out there. Come here you gotta see this. When you have really good dogs you can take it for granted sometimes just how good they are.

Don't ever let your government erase the wonderful things people like you have created.

Those dogs are living their best life. So are the sheep.

I’m not a dog person, but I could watch these dogs doing what they love, all day long. They are well trained. The problem I have is the people who don’t do their research and are ignorant when getting a dog who is bred to work. They don’t work with them, they’re become annoying, because their own doers have no idea what they’re getting into. I don’t blame the dog, I blame the owner. These dogs are beautiful and so fun to watch. 😊

I love sheep dogs. I would never have one. I worked in an office my entire life, and always lived in the city. I am glad that their skills are appreciated. This is where they need to be.

When I was a young man, I worked a lot on sheep stations in Western Australia. Our dogs were mostly Red Cloud Kelpies. Absolutely wonderful animals. I love them all to bits! Landscape on that hilltop is interesting. Lots of big hummocks and old boundary walls? Also looks like terracing? Were there ancient settlements up there? Local history group might know.

the sound of this motorcycle spoils the pleasure and beauty of nature for me. The dogs are phenomenal. Do they know how lucky they are that they don't have to live with mom on the couch?
