He's 30 and been singing professionally for 7 years I believe. Not really a new artist but is always amazing!! This song is from his 4th album. He is a rocker not a pop singer but he can sing anything he wants. He's great at mixing several genres in a single song. Check out Nunchuks or Bullfighting.

Yes. Hua Chenyu is born to do this. He has millions of fans all over the world. He's been on a 3 months' break. His fans are very excited when news of him 'starting' work this month came out recently. He won the competition Singer 2020 in April and after finishing up his numerous commerical endorsements in May, he decided to take a break. Which performer would do that?! Especially when he's at the peak! But this is who Hua Chenyu is. He said he wants to take a break to write songs for his next album. His 4th just came out in April this year. But even being away from the limelight for 3 months, he's still much sought after. His song, I Really Want to Love This World, which he introduced in his annual Mars Concert in November 2019 has been topping the charts. This is a song he wrote for people suffering from depression. You've discovered a gem, a true superstar!

The song title is just “New World” which is also the name of his recently released 4th album. He is now 30, going on 20 😳😁😁 His stage presence is magnificent for a slight figure and I’ve always felt sincerity in his performance, done with full conviction. That’s why he’s so mesmerising to watch and listen to. I love all his songs from since his first album plus the many singles he composed throughout his career since his debut in 2013. I’ve grown up listening to rock, pop music and Hua Hua is the only Chinese artist I follow...he’s amazingly great 👍 Thanks for your upload. Glad you discovered him.

Hua Chenyu is my favorite artist. Basically he is a rock star but actually he is all-round artist. He can handle many different genres amazing. His music has no boundaries. I agree with you, Hua Chenyu is indeed a very magical singer. There is no restriction on style, and he can control all styles of songs. It is the most comprehensive singer I have ever seen.

Hua Chenyu is a master of seamless transitions. Also his vocal range is incredible!

Yes, you are absolutely right. He is good at combine all different genres into his music. 'Nunchucks' is the perfect one to check just for that reason, and 'Qi Tan' as well. But, if you want to listen to his pure angelic singing voice for a change, I highly recommend 'Child'. And if you Want to hear him rock, try 'I Don't Care'. Basically all of his songs are good, you won't be disappointed at all.

This song is among my favorite, even if there’s not one I don’t like, he engages the audience to sing Oh Hey Ya so he has a chorus for his rap, simply amazing! Hua Hua is unique because he is absolutely FEARLESS in what he presents. His arrangement of music is spectacular in my opinion. I also think he is the best rapper on earth. But he says its just really Rock and Roll. Its rap. I loved your reaction too and your comments. There are so many great songs he's done that I bet you'd love. Nunchucks is a masterpiece, Child, Sacred Tree, Equal To Heaven, Ordinary Path, He wrote a beautiful song called "You Have To Believe" when Covid 19 first came out in Wuhan. Then there's Fake Monk. But don't listen to Dad I'm Home, also called The Saddest Song, It is gut wrenching Ha. I love Bullfighting too except when he adds video images. They are too sad for me, but the song is amazing. Hua Hua actually speaks perfect English. Take Care!

Woah! You just discovered a true gem and its not an overstatement. Hua does all genres, literally. Rap, rock, pop, reggae, ballads, musical and countless others. He composes and rearranges almost all his performances. Unlike mainstream singers who sings mainly about love, his songs are more about life, environmental issues, mental illnesses. This was a great reaction! Thanks for this. It is a super song delivered in super style by the brilliant Hua Chenyu ("hwatchin' you"). I saw the Beatles, the Stones, the Doors, Fleetwood Mac, etc in concert, and I find this performer to be Epic! What he sings about, and how he puts styles together let's us know instantly that he has music in his survival genes. Probably something to do with his unusual childhood. Talk about survival. Anyway, I would live to see him in concert in China, but not here in the US. I think American people have become too jaded in their music appreciation. Thank God for Hua Hua and Dimash! 😎😄🙏

You got it on point for reacting to his first performance. As you see more, you will see him mixing genres in one song which becomes "Hua" genre. No one else like him that composes music in this era. Every performance from Singer 2018 gives you a great idea of his versatility. As you will see in recommendation, every one has their favorite of favorites, which means they are all great and each has its own uniqueness. He sings many songs with raps and some more theatrical, dark, and artistic styles like Fake Monk, Dad I'm home, 7 personalities. So his creative styles in few songs, does not fit the "norm". You have to see more to appreciate his vast musical interpretations. Singer 2020 covers almost all his own compositions. He also can rearrange covers that can almost be a new song with Hua style. Hope you get to continue to explore him once in a while. As stated by other commenters, his vids get blocked, so be sure to attach copywrite statements, and may have to pause a bit, and or fade the screen. I'm sure you will get plenty of other artists recommendations and they also deserve the attention as there are many more great artists.

Did you know that Hua Hua had already become a singer after his competition on 2013?

He is amazing. He is huge in China. His MARS CONCERTS sell out in minutes for 90,000 people. They are three hrs and are just him.singing.. He writes most of his own music.

Hua is the Christopher Columbus of musical journeys taking us all away into his world of perfection. The vocals, the lyrics and melody are so incredibly amazing in all his songs. He also does covers of other artists. Check out his laidback version of Sia’s Chandelier so unique. I’m hooked as are thousands of people into his dynamics. Hope you enjoy the ride of your life. Hua Chenyu is one of my favorite singers (other than the acapella Home Free and Pentatonix.). I'm not a Martian (avid fan) but I believe he tends towards rock music with strong influence of the 80s (maybe early 90s). He likes to mix different genre in his music.

One of those guys who truly makes art. May not be the catchiest or prettiest music, not always perfect squeaky clean vocals, but each song and performance is like it’s own work of art with its own unique meaning and emotions.

Fav artist ❤️ always love his rearranged songs but his own songs are really something else. Especially like rock and so glad there are quite a few people in China make still make rock because it’s kind of dying in the western culture (after a generation). I love Queen and I am 17, I love his rock but also all his other styles because he is an amazing song-writer.

He can rap, sing classical, pop, rock, reggae and so much more. I’ve seen it all and I love it. Someone who is not mainstream? Hua Chenyu is THE MOST popular unique artist in China. Most popular singers are mainstream but he has won “best music attitude” each year 😂

Hua Hua is really an excellent artist, a great rocker and with a wonderful voice. One of the most influential singers in China today, he is another of my favorites since I discovered Asian culture and its music, I have really been impressed with the great artists out there. I recommend you to another of those gentlemen who you see behind the scenes in the Singer videos, his name is JAM HSIAO, he is another rocker who makes great songs. I personally like PI NANG and Haunting Me, very different but spectacular where he flaunts his vocal ability....
