It would be amazing if this guy could do with a more modern lathe with chucks & the tools for hollowing out. Even so, with the tools he has available what an amazing skill.
Every time these Woodturners get a blackened chard piece of wood. They then proceeded to remove all the charring so what’s the point in using Chad Wood yes? I know that the results look great but maybe if you incorporated some of that blackened wood then it would make the overall finish a lot more interesting. Failing that maybe just turn a normal log because that’s what they look like in the end in my humble opinion of course.
