Thanks Steve. It sometimes takes a long time to bring stuff to market...but I think the time is right.

Awesome Steve, I got in on the pre-order! I'm really excited to try them and oh man, the necks. I'm sure so many people will benefit from the ability to order a premade neck and at your quality level this is a really great idea. Can't wait to try a finish product that is made to your standards! If all the other products I have from you already are any indication of what to expect, I'm sure they will not disappoint! Kudos to Mike for his awesome work on the website! Very nice. ✌️

Looking forward to my guitar neck order in fall and will also try the SOS set! The neck configurator is really great and I'm excited to see what else is coming.... Great as always Steve! Innovation, precision and quality!

Super stoked about the pre-made necks! I've been looking for a neck with a spoke wheel truss rod with a paddle head! I don't think there's another option for this. Love that we can add the carbon fiber rods! Any plans to offer a fretted option? Maybe just pressed in without the fret work?

Hey Mark...thanks for the comment. Spoke wheel is an option in our ordering system. I can certainly do the fret work for people on a case by case basis. It is time intensive...and I would prefer that guitar builders do this themselves. However, for those that don't have the tools or experience to do frets...I could do it. Just email me directly with special requests and we can discuss things. Oh...and by the way. My Builders Custom Necks match with our template set specs. So, you could use our necks...and do the rest with our templates...and you are in a great position for success!

About a minute after I sent my question about shipping, I found a message reply saying you are able to ship the oil to Canada. I will be ordering some. Thanks

If I'm understanding correctly, the #9 doesn’t have any wax. Not sure what you have on your website to add to the order to get the free shipping. Would be nice if it was included. Looking forward to giving it a try......thanks!

#9 is also wax free. I should probably mention that. It is more non hardening oils to penetrate and condition. Free shipping is not actually free. At 50% off there is no margin left to cover shipping. Although, you could purchase three sets and get over $99 for free shipping. Give a couple sets away as gifts.

Suitable for mahogany back and sides and spruce soundboard acoustic? I am looking for a simple, foolproof, and uniform finish. Do not plan to try to obtain a glass finish. And is it compatible with grain filler?

This is exactly what you are looking for. You will get a gorgeous natural natural finish. You can also “wet” sand using the finish as the lubricant to create slurry to fill the grain. It is all natural tree & nut oils, so there shouldn’t be ant issues.

There are many things that I have not tested with our new product. An acoustic guitar is one of those things. However, there is no problem with this oil finish bonding over a pour filled body. I would use #8 till you have the thickness (which will still be relatively thin) you want...then add a coat of #7 for the wax content if your want a super soft feel with the low sheen look.

Maximum Guitar Works do you not offer one piece necks?

Can I still apply a headstock decal and bury it.

I prefer to seal the neck and headstock…then apply the logo (I use heat activated dry transfers), then build up the front of the headstock with clear poly…then apply the #8 hard oil/wax over the entire neck and headstock. Hand buff after a few minutes.

Shipping to Canada is pretty reasonable. We use UPS Ground. As long as you are not in the weeds that you have to use air service for shipping it won’t be bad.

Like Mike said...I have found that shipping to the bordering areas of Canada is no more expensive than shipping to Minnesota. If you email your address...I will give you an exact quote. Thanks for your comment.

No reason not. It is 100% natural and food safe products. I forgot to mention in the video…but I also use the #7 on my cast iron tools.
