AMAZING GAME FISH RECIPE! Catch & Cook Crappie Cakes

Спорт

This fish recipe is quickly becoming our favorite way to cook up crappie and white bass along with other game fish. I am fishing a local lake to capture some fresh fish and bring them home to Stephanie for a family clean and cook.

For ALL your vegetables you want to water them with any left over coffee and also incorporate used coffee grounds into the soil. The caffeine stimulates and accelerates growth without the use of chemicals. My grandmother used to do this for all her herbs & veggies.

You need to trim the suckers off of your tomatoes and stake/tie them so they grow up straight. Fish cakes look awesome have yall thought about adding some finely diced celery to them?

Skip the food processor. Broil the fish in the oven just until flaky (rare/med rare) and then break it into chunks with your fingers. Mix with OSG's ingredients and form into patties. Then use egg wash and panko crumbs and pan fry it. I use this recipe with largemouth instead of wasting good white bass on fish cakes. 😛

I recommend putting some fish carcuses under the soil between the maters too! Adding worm castings, sprinkled around the top of the soil and lightly raked in (don't damage the roots by racking too deep) helps with natural nutrients too!

You should let me teach you to crappie fish year round. I'm in the dfw and fish a fee of the lakes you do. Give those tomato plants your fish scraps and watch them grow like crazy. Lastly try crappie balls and deep fry instead of pan fry. I made a video doing just that and it did really well. Not to mention the crappie balls were delicious!

Love an LFG upload! One of my top 5's for sure. Regarding the roosters, I'd let them be for now.... they'll either learn the pecking order or if he's stubborn he might lose a "battle/war". Common among roosters, but if they have enough space and hens, I'd say leave him. Nothing wrong with multiple roosters as long as what I mentioned is an option.

The only tomato you need in a garden is Jet Star, great homegrown flavor. For a side dish or or salad or just eat like Candy is Sweet 100. Its a must! Trust me these two varieties are absolutely the Best. You will need good afternoon Sun. The sweet 100's will grown up a vive or cage 6 ' then by October they will be on the ground. Just like grapes clusters of fresh Sweet goodness. Oh and I have canned these in Spiggety sauce. I heard not to use Cherry's for canning, it worked Awsome for me. I canned some Great Italian Spiggety sauce, when canning add all the Italian ingredients. It's Awesome. Remember Jet Star, Sweet 100. When you slice one on your Hamburger 🍔 you will think Damn!! Have a Great Summer!

LFG, enjoy all your content. I look forward to every post. As to the tomatoes as well as peppers, cucumbers whatever, you have the answer in your fish bucket. As a fellow Texas fisherman, I use my fish heads in the garden. Tomatoes are ferocious feeders and the fish by products from your cleanings. They will help them grow and be very productive. Good luck with yours gardens. BTW, I make my own potting soil because the big box stores have dropped the ball on good soil. I use equal parts of peat moss, black cow manure and sifted potting soil to remove sticks.

For fantastic tomatoes, take a 5 gallon bucket and drill small drip holes along the bottom and sides. Then bury the bucket between up to 4 tomato plants. Fill that bucket with compost and water the compost when the plants need water. The nutrients leach out and directly feed the roots. Super simple and kills it at production and size.

For the garden, look into copper electrocultute. Sounds hokey but it works. Copper wire wrapped around a stick from one of your trees, and then stuck into each garden bed. Can also be done with a bit of copper pipe. Just try it.

Tomatoes. Plenty of great tips given so I'll just leave ya with some info for next year's variety. If you can, grab some Giant Crimson seeds from grateful harvest seeds. They're delicious, big and one of the rarest tomatoes in the world, legitimately. Long story short, strain thought to be extinct, 80 year old seed packs found, 2 seeds produced plants, those tomatoes produced new seeds and here we are.

To prevent and treat blossom end rot in tomato plants, add calcium to the soil using fertilizers or agricultural lime, water consistently, mulch the soil, monitor soil pH levels, and remove any infected fruit.

  • @thorzyan

Rather than add lab made chemical calcium, use egg shells. You can dry them in the oven at 325 for 20 min, let cool, and then fine grind in then blender. Add some to awatering can and feed the plants. It's also just about the best source of calcium for humans as well, about tsp per day added to food/drink.

Need to get rid of 1 rooster for sure As for tomatoes, you need a higher fence around them or the deer will eat them. Otherwise lots a sun plenty of water, if it gets really hot, spray them mid day to cool them off. If you don't get enough I'll mail you some. I've got 14 plants going this year.

Mr Penny was first! The other bird can take a hike and live down by the dock's. The only way I've been able to catch any crappie has been dock shooting, they're all hiding way back under big pontoons and other boat's on lift's 🤷 As far as white's go, apparently they're not that plentiful around here because unless it's spawn time and they're running up the river it's pretty tough to find em'. But have to agree with you on the smaller male's being the best eating one's! Mainly because that red strip is almost non existent in small one's.

Justin I definitely no it would be hard but with as few hens that you have and two cocks that don’t get along will definitely make the hole flock unhappy for sure and can also get the egg production down also!!! You definitely need to get rid of one of the roosters for sure so that everyone is happy again!!! We have had tons and tons of chickens over the past 20 years and it’s best for one rooster for every 12 to 14 chickens and that way they aren’t all getting attacked every 10 minutes if you no what I mean??? Lol!! Oh and for those big tomatoes I’d definitely be taking all those fish carcasses and bearing them in the soil with the tomatoes and that will definitely help the tomatoes out a bunch also!!! Well hopefully this helps you out and what an amazing video buddy and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!! Definitely can’t weight for you to get on a good crappie bit also!!!
