They actually step through each others legs. Doing what the computers say can't be done , 2 objects occupying the same space at the same time! They 😊truly are the spirit of Aggie Land. The Corps of Cadets, the soul!! TEXAS A&M University has become a huge school, but it remains a family. When I meet another Aggie it's like meeting a long lost brother or sister. We share certain beliefs and traditions unlike any other school. We are patriotic, but not blind to faults. We love God, Country, Family and School. The last two are basically the same. Whoop!!

That would be debatable. They march a straight military style, no color guard, no silks, no drum feature. All 6-5 steps, same tempo, follow the leader drill, step 2 and step 4. Drum arrangements are from the 60's at best, music is traditional march music with no variety 2/4 or 4/4. You can love them for what they are but what they aren't is a modern marching band that plays much more challenging music and drill. It doesn't mean I don't like them, I like them a lot. They are a great band for this particular school and they are full of tradition. There's a lot to be said for that.

I am 74 now! Was born in 1949. I remember it was normal to watch marching bands at many a college football game. Then came the future. Gone were the marching bands replaced with screaming dancing people jiggle long to awful non memorable music. Singers attempting to reach the highest note for the national anthem, with a strong wiggle at the end. That's not over yet, but until then this band made me cry with all of its nostalgia brought back to home! Please no more rock stars give us back the bands.

Those who have been members of Marching Bands are eminently trainable, know how to cooperate with team mates for the greater good, and were highly disciplined, AND were used to difficult assignments! Oh, don't forget the part about competently playing a musical instrument during the entire march! It wasn't a perfect meter, but it was pretty darn close!
