Join us for 2oclockcoffee everyday and watch an amateur video having to do with travel, sports or random events. We started drinking coffee at 2 o'clock everyday during Covid. We haven't stopped!
That was a “Pitch” shot . A “Chip” shot is a lot closer to the green.

Love all the comments arguing that its a pitch not a chip. The two are defined thusly: The chip shot is a one-lever move where more of the shoulders are used without a wrist hinge, whereas a pitch shot is a two-lever movement that includes the trunk and the wrist. Now watch the video and decide for yourself. Its all horribly important don't you know!?

And yet he would trade every last one of those 19 second place finishes for 1 more first place. You think Rory wants all those 2nd places like this past weekend when he felt devastated, or do you think he'd trade all those for 1 more win? Jack certainly wasn't celebrating his 2nd place finishes either, he hated losing.

Dateline: Chicago about 1970. Trevino, par 3 at about 235 into a medium strong wind. Pulls out a 4 wood. Takes it back and stops. Asks the crowd who wants to put money down on hitting the green with an iron. Nobody takes bet even though he shows money from his pocket. Takes the 4 wood to top of swing and stops again. Says to caddie, "give me that damn iron for all these tight asses". Without hesitation smokes the iron onto the green. High fade of course. That was Trevino. He was going to hit that iron all along.

I had a rare thing happen to me relative to Gary many years ago. It was at the Western Open In Chicago. He had already won all his majors But I was the only person following him as he teed off on one hole. Just me. And things were wide open to the tee. I remember thinking to myself, "how many times has this ever happened" ? It was just a fluke. His caddy had gone ahead to the tee. And while we were waiting he said to me, "I can't talk to you, Gary gets mad when I do that".
@Paul-lm5gv8 күн бұрын
Very nice but honestly, I saw him as an honorary starter on the first tee at the Masters and even he lightheartedly admitted he had a hard time bending over to get the tee in the ground for his shot. And he looked a bit stiff as he hit the ball. Age is catching up to the Golden Bear, and will to all of us eventually!

Well say that to the competitive Japanese and Korean girls who dominate in any Ladies LPGA, but aren’t broadcasted wider. They also have the purest and most beautiful swings. The Koreans I know train almost 16hrs per day to get that trophy, their training is not a joke.
