Under-developed markets for industrial products, broken and struggling economies. extracting and selling raw materials is easier than running factories. Development of industries in Africa at large are in their infancy. Difficult but not impossible in Africa. Money is too readily taken out of businesses rather than being re-invested. Lack of permanent continuous power for running industries. There are some exceptions to the general picture, but politics and economics work against the technical people like engineers who could industrialise Africa.
