These are used on double doors and bifold doors to secure the non active doors. Length is for strength with more screw holes. Usually they are rebated into doors, unlike these which go on the surface.

I know! What a shock! I guess throwing it on the floor adds some antiquing dings and pits and scratches.

@@userbill3236 the lubricant does not directly cool. It lubricates the drill as it cuts, reducing friction, thus reducing heat. It also makes the bit last way longer. Water does nothing but maybe cool a bit but does not lube the drill bit. If water worked, then machine shops would not have to spend money of cutting lubricants and then pay to get rid of the waste oil.

Amazing primitive, dangerous (to workers) and inefficient way to machine parts .. little engineering with no residual sub set benefits for the community and perhaps criminal pollution to workers and the at large community. I hope they show this to every high school kid in the USA as how NOT to do and how easy it would be to take this production away from them and make a safe buck$ in the USA
