I have lived here since the 70's Back then there was only ONE place to get anything for the Mexican food area that was Paulas. they are still here to this day too. I grew up with them all, great family.. Its been GREAT to see all the great Hispanic places show up over the last years. Some of the best food there is! Fun fact ? the Mexican market on Bluff street used to be located where a recording studio was before Jazzy Java came years ago. before it was torn down then rebuilt as Blues cats.

That's fascinating! So cool that you've lived in St. George so long and gotten to watch it grow around you! We love it there and plan to move there in the next 5-6 years most likely. My grandma used to make rellenas which are from Nicaragua, they're literally pupusas just under a different name and without the curtido. My siblings and I love pizza so she would spread homemade pizza sauce and salami all over the rellena essentially making mini corn pizzas with chicharron and or cheese fillings.

My buddies mom was first generation El Salvador in Orange County, CA. He's very successful now but I've still never tasted his grandmother's recipe. He knows good, spots though. This has some merit.

When I was a teenager, I had a buddy who was from El Salvador. Went over to his house once, and his mom was cooking pupusas. They offered me some, and I gotta say they’re great! I love Latin food.

Spanish version of a gordita. We had a cookout at our job function. Some coworkers brought these to the luncheon. Thank God, I didn’t eat them. Five of the coworkers have blood in the stool after eating these whoever put them together or the ingredients of these were left out. Made everyone sick.

Oh man.. growing up in North Carolina I had exposure to stuff like this and I miss it so much we don't have anything like that here. There's no diversity no Taco stands no nothing. I miss it so much and I haven't had one of these in over half my life now. but yes they're like kind of like a dumpling but kind of like an empanada but kind of like something else but if you can find the dipping sauce just like a dark reddish brown so good with these...❤

@@AdventureFamilyVlog don't get me wrong the food looks good but who knows when last time she washed her hands I work in restaurants I've been in restaurants for 20 years and I wash my hands in an 8-hour day at least 50 times every time I take my gloves off I wash my hand every time I touch the trash cans I change my gloves every time I touch my face or my clothes anytime I touch raw food I change my gloves anytime I go into the walking and come out I change my gloves

For rolling dough like she is, probably not. From my own experience, it would stick to the gloves quite badly. You can rest easy knowing that none of the food prepared for you in basically any kitchen at any restaurant you go to is prepared with gloves either, and it is not required by health and safety since washing your hands or using a sanitizer is just as effective.

Those popusas look like gorditas from Mexico. In Mexico the people cook gorditas without anything, but they cooked the vendors stuff them with frijoles con chicharrones, chile carnitas or whatever ingredients they have in hand.

SAN JOSE CALIFORNIA HAS THE BEST PUPUSA'S from El Salvador that i ever had... but there's a FOOD TRUCK in the NAPA VALLEY, believe it or not. I found some PERDY DARN GOOD ONES there too... I just Love the fact that you can get sides with these like, there NOT Hot SALSA and CABBAGE Slaw, 😋 ❤❤ 🎉🎉 Thank you for Sharing.
