Very nice unit.👍🏽 It reminds me of the 10.1” Android tablets that some people, including myself, use for car entertainment system. But with some more features like Apple CarPlay built in. As always, TFS!

Good to see you staying on the forefront of android headunits. I believe in the coming years they will have continued component upgrades and software improvements. Once they reach that part the major players will either have to basically make deals to run off of android like these do or move to a carplay based software. The major players simply won't make the software investment to expand the usage of the very limited things they can do and depend on peoples cell phones instead. Keep it up Unleashed. I think it was a great idea to get addons as those are something everybody really looks at such as that tpms, obd, etc.

Nice. I haven't heard of this brand, although I have ordered/installed several oem replacement android head units. Question: do you have a video of app reviews? One aspect of the android head units is the ability to install 3rd party apps which makes them completely customizable while giving the end user the ability to transform their system to our liking. Great vids! I look forward to your vids!

Going through a lot of these videos right now for my own 9-3, hopefully I can find one exactly like this, just in 6 or 7 inch form so it'll sit flush

Hi. I’m really loving your in-depth reviews on the android head units. I was wondering what do you recommend for a 2017 Toyota Camry SE.

The EQ actually has like 30 bands! Just have to tap that arrow pointing towards your driver's seat to get the other higher frequency bands. The USA version is the Scout launcher and I put that in my Lexus SC430. The bracket in the double DIN unit does move out a lot, like almost 3 inches and that was key to my installation. It's a great head unit!

Nice to see hdmi out is working thus you got full hd resolution to monitor on the back. However, if you'd like to have the sound out from car speakers, i guess you would have to by pass/ keep the audio out using rca cables (audio out) and press mute button on your monitor (if there's any)

Yeah, it duplicated the audio through the speakers and the HDMI, so it's just a case of muting the screen at the back

I know you said that Android Head Units didn't generally have HDMI, but just wanted to say that Ive got a alpine ilx207 (not Android Head Unit) with 7in screen (yes im jealous), and it has both HDMI in and HDMI out. Absolutely love these features and use them regularly, more so the HDMI in. I actually run a Android tv box on it mostly, usually for video purposes but also some gaming emulators etc.Great review as per usual, keep em coming

To be fair, in a convertible the brightness of any screen is always an issue! Just depends if the sun is shining directly onto the screen

It would be interesting to hook a umik mic up and use rta software on the android

i actually like the buttons at the bottom of the screen rather than on the side. double sub rca is a good touch too if you choose to go that way. lack of digital out's and dated hardware is a let down

1:42 A simple way they could get around the licensing issue is to use DisplayPort instead. Unlike HDMI, it's royalty-free and you can easily convert it to any other standard.

Hey Man. You seem to be extremely knowledgeable in regard to Android/ Car Play Head units. I just purchased a Sygav 10.1' head unit for my 2019 Toyota Highlander. The unit looks great and fits perfectly into the vehicle. Stock OEM looking in almost 100% Very impressive. My questions to you is how can I get the unit to show video from my iphone either via Bluetooth or RCA white/red/ yellow cables from streaming services like KZread TV, Netflix, etc... The apple car play does not support video but I would like to mirrow/ cast video from my iPhone to the massive screen in the car? Please advise if you know how to get this done? Thank you,

It's an android head unit, which is essentially a tablet. Just install Netflix and KZread directly on the head unit

Nice stereo but could you do a video maybe of all the DSP settings for your Saab as mine rattles my door when the bass is turned up so be good to view your best sound DSP settings in yours lol

The point of DSP is to give you the ability to manipulate the output of the sound to get the best possible sound for your car. Of course if you turn the bass up too high, it'll cause distortion ect. If your door rattles, that's a slightly different issue, I'd be looking for the source of the rattle to see if I could stop it. Putting some sound deadening between the door card and the door might cushion whatever components are knocking together, and will improve the bass

Would you please give the rca output voltage on the units you review. All the units you review have amazing features but I'd like to have one with a higher voltage so I'm not stressing my amps for louder sound

@Saab Unleashed, what would be your recommendation for a Headunit for a Lexus GX470 2009??

I have a convertible car, once the roof is down the glare on the screen means it is virtually impossible to use a shiney screen such as I have on most Android units, is there any 7 inch universal screen which is anti-glare matt like on Pioneer/JVC/Kenwood etc.

Have you ever reviewed anything from a company called kunfine? It is extremely cheap and I was wondering how good it actually is

Very interesting radio. With regard to the HDMI, can you play video for the rear passenger without the same video running up front? And with that, can you listen to the audio from the HDMI video through bluetooth headphones?

Is the rca subwoofer 1 and 2 outputs for a left and right config or should i use a Y splitter for one sub amp?

Interesting it only got a 7 on Value.. Looks like a nice unit. Can't wait to see units with HDMI in and out on them.

From my point of view, it's expensive... but at the end of the day, it's down to how much a tiltable arm mount and a HDMI port is worth to you

Depends on the car. Most cars have aftermarket kits you can bu, so you can install universal head units (like this Saab 9-3). Of course, the alternative is to buy a non universal head unit which is designed for your car which will come with the canbus decoder and dash trim ect

Is it possible to install this interface/launcher on other brand HU's? Where can I find .APK of it?

My Dasaita works with Android Auto Wireless. Are you sure that Android Auto works on this head unit only with cable?

It probably does, many of them do these days. I must try one. But if it's only Android Auto you want, there are a lot of options

I realize your in UK and I’m in USA but is there a 4g dongle that I can put an AT&T data sim in so my unit can have its own service without tethering?

Yes there is, I actually do that myself by dropping a SIM into a USB 4G WIFI stick from Huawei

It's great the video output is HDMI but does it just mirror the screen on the Head unit? If I'm using Wayze in the front, my kids don't want to see that. Instead, they would want to see cartoons.

@@SaabUnleashed if I wanted to control the volume from the back seat with the remote for the HDMI TV. In my case, this is for an RV. I'm trying to find a head unit I can treat like a command center for the whole vehicle. Along those lines, I feel like you've reviewed a unit with dual zone audio out, but I can't remember which unit. Do you? This would be useful for playing different media inside and outside the van.

@@theborednerds ​ Ok, I get where you're coming from. I will have to test that with an actual TV to see if it detects the Dasaita as an AV receiver and enables CEC/ARC. I think it's fairly unlikely, but it's worth the test, right? As for dual zone audio out, I have not seen any head unit off that functionality as they're all geared around the muti-channel car speakers. I would say you'd need a second device for that
