Amazing ancient Dolmen La Roche aux Fees

Amazing ancient Dolmen La Roche aux Fees
I had to travel to see this place while I was in Brittany, I think you will agree it's quite a special place worthy of a Prehistoric Road Trip.

Not exactly sure why someone would laugh at your expense Will. Hope you are enjoying your trip. Seems quite interesting. Cheers.

Wow that place was amazing and seriously thank you for being you and taking us on your journey. I think one or the most important things in life is to remember our ancestors and how they lived to appreciate what we went through to get to this place we are now thank you

Wow, that's something you don't see very often (2:04): it's Darth Vader waving at us! Thanks for the video Will. I still can't get my head round about the huge amount of effort people put in to constructing monuments such as this one. The site must have had a really deep and strong meaning to our ancestors before they began the enterprise. I strongly doubt that someone just went: "Hmm … I kind of like this place. You know what? Let's go and fetch some really, really huge and heavy stones and build something here. Some sort of everlasting camping site could be nice."

Good gloves can be hard to find. I bike to and from work with an electric power-assisted pedal bike. 7 km each way. I've taken it out down to -40°C. Today was -18°C. Heavy snowfall. 20-30 cm. Many loss-of-traction events, starts, stops, and running off unshoveled sidewalks. Took me twice as long to get home as a summer day. I was cooking from the physical exertion. My glove requirements are probably a lot different from yours, since my entire body heats up from the exercise. I would recommend maybe looking into snowmobiling gloves for you, Will, though I don't know what kind of knuckle/palm protection they might offer.

Thank you, Will! Each place is different, so I'm thinking about one's experience whilst visiting each place. I wonder whether people visiting sense anything at all.

You are damn lucky those cows were not " Attack cows ! " . Those types of cows have committed horrors across the globe. Anyway , another interesting collection of stones . I have never seen any bodies discover at these sites yet some still claim they are burial sites. I think the purpose has escaped us all . Nice helmet and the gloves did not stop the tips of the fingers from freezing I see . It was only 20 degress F here this morning and went out for a ride and my gloves did not help either . Another case of frozen fingertips ! Thanks for the share . :O)

I was thinking more like an attack from outside the tribe forced the abandonment...traditional way of thinking back then, according to archaeologists, is that wooden monuments were built for the living and stone monuments were for the dead
