    are they wearing those TORTURE DEVICES aka: "STACKS"? (We can already see the purposefully cut tendons in the tails, so, we know hanky panky are being performed behind the scenes!)

    No they are not. These are American Saddlebred horses, NOT Tennessee Walking horses. What you see on their feet are called quarter boots, they are there to protect the horses feet from over reaching and striking the front feet with the back. They are not kept on, just put on when working and then taken off.

    I agree that all three horses were close as far as quality goes. I have a feeling the judges liked the speed of the one that was the winner. That was definitely the fastest, like I remarked a time or two in the video.

    Hi, thank you so much for posting this. What a joy it must be to own and ride an American Saddlebred. They are so flashy and what a well deserved winner, he is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't even know about the 5 gates. Is this something that is natural, or is it training? Thank you. 🐎😍

    Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you liked the video! The regular gaits of walk, trot, and canter are natural, of course, but the slow gait and rack are trained. However, I think saddlebreds have more of a natural inclination for those to gaits than most other breeds.

    I think the key words in your comment are that it looks like torture in your eyes. I can assure you that is not the case for the horses. They love to run and show off. The weighted shoes accentuate their natural movement. I once asked farrier if those caused any harm and he said no.

    Maybe the riders can come troll their horses if they learned how to sit, post and balance. All I see is vultures/riders flopping all over the place. Poor horse's backs and none of this is natural but beaten in means tortured, tails broken and chains. No, these beaten horses are not having fun but are in pain. This type of riding, showing, should be banned.

  • @XxShellyW13xX

    @XxShellyW13xX

    You do make a lot of unproven assumptions. American Saddlebreds are not beaten, tortured, or have their tails broken or tendons cut. The walk, trot, and canter are natural gaits in every horse on earth. Riders are not flopping all over their horse's backs, but posting to the gaits. They have artificial tail pieces attached to the horse's tails at the highest point possible, to get the highest carriage. At one time, a long time ago, their tails were cut, but that's been outlawed and banned. As for the running walk, it's a natural gait in Saddlebreds, mine did it, and he could also Rack, yet another gait that comes natural in SOME Saddlebreds. And he was never showed a day in his life. But he couldn't canter, so figure that one out. So next time you may want to do your homework and fact checking before you start throwing out assumptions.

    These 3 riders have some bad equitation. They all are slamming on the horses backs, no smooth transitions. And the riders look hunched over. Horses are counter bent while cantering. 🫣 I rode saddle seat in my younger years and yes, it was the hardest thing I ever did. But I put the work into my riding, including transitions. We made a beautiful team.
