    About lightning, it is 100 percent intensity or it's lower? i know that ferns and buce, anubias likes low light, but ludwigia is a medium to high lover of light! By the way, it is an awesome scape! Congrats! 👏 👏

    @@chisciprian3067 hi, no the lighting is a maximum of 70% intensity for three hours during the photoperiod. The rest of the time it ramps up and down from 40 & 50% 😃👍🏻

    Beautiful! I'm not surprised it didn't fare well in IAPLC since the emphasis there seems to have been on diorama scapes for the last few years which are more a product of good photography skills than anything else.I would take a classic nature style tank any day over other styles and this one is a beauty. Well done! Love it!

    I do not like most of the IAPLC aquarium, they look so fake! Most likely, they last only for several months! I like long lasting planted aquarium.

    Absolutely inspiring aquascape, stunning yet relatively simple layouts but great use of hardscape and plants. Love the Bucephalandra patches, they also look like different patches of coral heads. Love love love this setup

    Low-key hit the jackpot today. Found out spider wood is from rhododendrons. My entire county has rhododendron plants everywhere. Washington state's state flower is rhododendrons. I live a minute walk away from a park called rhododendron park. I even have around 4 rhododendron plants in my front yard. I'm happy

    this is my topic at the moment, native wood for aquarium my inhibition is to poison the water the internet says, rhododendron is toxic in every part of the plant for human and animals i am growing up with just Bog-wood in the aquariums we need someone to test different wood species

    @@holgerfarber194 yeah, I kinda rushed to judgement, apparently it's part of the rhododendron genus. Azalea. Though I also have those at my house, and at the park too

    @@holgerfarber194 and now that I'm checking, so is azalea wood. I'm thinking when it's died, dried correctly, and boiled the poisonous aspect of it should be neutralized, seeing as spider wood is so common for aquariums. Interesting little research rabbit hole I went through there

    I loved it! The flow was just perfect for me...the fish were active and the plants were smoothly kinetic. I would definitely make good use of the viewing chair. Thanks for bringing us a view.

    I know it's been a long time since this video came out, but I often come back to it. For me, a role model for what an aquarium with bucephalanders should look like. I'll be doing something similar soon. This arrangement does not get bored.

    Those Harlequin Rasbora have the best color I have ever seen. They must feel very little stress inside that aquascape to display such vivid color. It’s not just the light eaither. It’s obvious they are extremely healthy.

    It seems like a lot of my plants come from South America, as a American from a colder climate I'm curious, are you able to find lots of cool native plants for aquarium in nature? I know it's a huge country though so perhaps it's not as simple as it may seem

    Fabulous video. Case studies like these are great. I would love more in depth stuff on trimming techniques and considerations such as different growth rates. Maintenance of a Dutch style aquascape would perhaps be a good case study.

    Super layout and so clean! Water changes are my big interest. How do the fish cope with 75% each week? My shop told me 10% each week... the plants look AMAZING!

    75% in a high energy planted tank is no problem. The large water changes are to refresh the system to remove organics and excess fertilisers. In planted tanks both fish and plants create waste so larger water changes are recommended to dilute these.

    The first time I saw this aquarium was January of this year, and fell in love with the lay out and also the fact that this is an aquarium that will last for several years. I do not like that ADA aquariums competition style, they look so fake!

    To be honest the Congo’s do pick off some shrimp but they maintain a steady population.

    Lovely scape and I'm sure the fish choice are favorites. Question the mixture of fish however. But about taste there should be no argument! Had dogs but you get attached to dogs but not fish so I will now go with fish.

    I absolutely love Fissidens fontanus moss, but no stores around me carry it. I'll have to wait until the weather is cooler to purchase some from an online vendor.

    Does the bucephalandra experience any melting? I believe when the bucephalandra arrived, they were in emersed forms. How do you transit them from emersed to submersed form?

    Hi, they can melt however keep the lighting low initially and that usually helps.
