AmateurFocus returns with a bang. In what is now the 2nd Series, I delve a little deeper into the crucial role Amateur Boxing plays in shaping the lives of all involved and how the sport fills a large vacuum left by government cuts to crucial social services.
I had initially planned to make a longer episode focusing on the historic All Stars gym on the Harrow Road, however, it soon dawned on me that there are just too many people involved and too much history in this place to be able to do it any sense of justice in that format.
Instead, there will be multiple - shorter episodes - with each focusing on particular personalities and aspects of the All Stars Boxing Gym.
Starting off... London and National Heavyweight Champion Brian Muwenge gives us a detailed and heart-warming perspective into what it means to be a Boxer and part of the All Stars family.

Brian is that guy bro! There’s a career in motivational speaking waiting for him when he’s done with the Pro game! These longer talking pieces can be very challenging to produce but Brian made it as easy as it can possibly get, as he has such a coherent perspective and able to eloquently put that into words.

@@gavinlane335 You know some of the other episodes it’s taken 1,2,3 days of solid going back and forth with discussions, takes and retakes to get the audio and talking points just right and with a very few like Brian’s, all it’s taken is 1 take to nail it!
