"To rid her body of toxins", what garbage, "the body" does that by way of the kidneys and intestines, starting first thing in the morning and onward, regardless of "soups that absorb toxins"(unless you are talking of antidotes to heavy metals etc.in which case different "soups" are needed)

Actually, as both a Medical Doctor and Research PhD, I am always interested in updating my knowledge 🙂 So, I will politely repeat my comment ..... There are no such things as "superfoods". This is a term used by marketing companies to encourage purchases. This is acknowledged in the cited research paper ..... "The term ‘superfoods’ is used to market foods considered to have significant health benefits. ‘Superfoods’ are claimed to prevent diseases as well as improving overall health, though the lack of explicit criteria means that any food can be labelled ‘super’ without support from scientific research." It is not the quality of these foods that I have a problem with, but the utilisation of the term "superfoods". I legally can stamp the word "superfood" on anything ..... As the paper points out, much of the current research does not reflect how the human body converts these foods either. Now, do these particular foods offer any valuable nutrients? There is evidence that they do offer some .... And importantly, there is little research showing negative affects. Are they therefore useful to add to your diet? Absolutely. I am far more concerned with the modern "ultra processed" (yes, that's another over used and difficult to categorise term!) ..... Hope that clarifies my position ..... And most happy to discuss!
