This is the second home in which kzread.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).

@@Yo_666 I rather have to deal with that than either losing my life or the life of a family member. It's not like I'd shoot just anyone coming through my door, but if they come in with the intent of doing harm they get 1 warning after that I wouldnt hesitate in pulling the trigger. I encourage anyone who has a gun to go through gun safety and any other training offered in your area. It's pretty sobering to have someone speak in classes that faced an armed intruder and lived to tell, and even more so when you hear about people who lost loved ones from people intent on doing harm. Home defense doesn't mean that you have the right to just shoot anyone on your property either, if your life is in eminent danger you should have the right to defend yourself.

@@Yo_666 As to the first part of your statement, that is why I carry USCCA insurance at their Elite level (above Platinum). They assist in dealing with law enforcement questions (I don’t speak to officers or detectives without representation), cover bail, pick you up, drive you back to your home, provide lawyers for your defence, or allow you to choose a lawyer, at which time they will pay your lawyer’s fees entirely for the self-defense trial (if it goes that far). They also cover you for up to $2 million for personal lawsuits by the perpetrator’s family, if needed. (That sounded like an ad)! 😂 As to the second part of your statement, Boudicea nailed it. I have a family. If necessary, I would do what I was forced to do after I had exhausted every other means of peaceful resolution. I’m not some John Wick sociopathic personality type. I’m fully aware that I’d be stacking another load onto my PTSD rack. I was a firefighter for a bit. I have nightmares from some of the EMS calls I responded to. (For example; visualize a skull crushed down to its jawline with Brain matter and Cerebrospinal fluid spilled out over the front and passenger seats of a car that was T-Boned by a large U-Haul moving truck). The driver was hit while sitting immobile after already having crashed headfirst into a heavy stone wall of a road that split into a T without much notice (in the later evening time on a cloudy night in rural Connecticut). Like I roughly said before, it would be another unwanted mental image that would be filed away and considered against the abject joy of coming home to continue to be able see my wife and my children playing safely in our yard and to watch them mature and become the beautiful people they will become.

Most of these people are probably still walking around free, because our system is more worried about road pirates making money extorting and kidnapping people off of the road, for all kinds of victimless crimes. They don't have time to deal with real criminals. If they spent even half the time driving around looking for these types of criminals, as they do for expired registration or other petty crap, hoping to start a fishing expedition on someone minding their own business not harming anyone, they would actually start to clean up the streets.

Ok, so it is true. Here's what I read on Google: It’s Illegal "Since wasp spray was not made for self-defense and is not labeled for self-defense, it is not legal for self-defense. In fact, because federal law prevents the use of any pesticide to be used for anything besides their labeled purposes, it is a felony to use wasp spray on a person. Not to mention, it most likely wouldn’t be an effective self-defense solution anyway."

The guy who bashed into the wrong house: That's B&E, I don't care what his excuse is! He's got a temper and it's probably not the first time he's been out of control. Needs to be reported for two reasons: B&E should be reported to police for safety concerns, and for insurance purposes to get the door, frame, plaster repaired or replaced, and it's gonna be more than his lousy $200. He tried to pay the resident off. Insurance and police need proof of the incident, get both video and a formal police report. There was at least a motor vehicle accident, but it could have even been hit and run. This father should be held responsible for repairs at least, and the home owner's insurance might have to cover it first, then subrogate or sue for reimbursement. We don't really know the story just because his daughter told him one version. Did she know the driver? She may have started it, could need medical help, could just be a drunk, maybe she broke up with the driver and he acted out impulsively (she seems to attract than sort of male, doesn't she), maybe driver was drunk too, we just don't know the whole story. Leopards don't change their spots, that father probably has gone out of control before. It needs legal documentation, a paper trail. Thar would also cover the a** of the guy at that home, since he said he doesn't even live there... proof it wasn't his fault. That door's gonna need a temporary security fix, and then serious reconstruction. That costs money. Might have to paint the entire room to match the new repairs, install a safer new door, hire a plasterer and painter, what a mess. Father didn't even ask if the right guy lived at that address, he just exploded and broke in. The documentation should be more formal. Guy's got a bad temper and is willing to act out on it, with poor impulse control. Wife might not be there next time to deescalate him, he could kill someone or cripple them for life. Let the cops and insurance companies figure out the real story and do the repairs. And that father could use a little psychotherapy.
