It blows my mind that this band isn't front page news everywhere. ... oh well, I guess the band's brilliance only appeals to smart people.

You should hear her aunts in the Rankin Family. Google Rankin Family on KZread. She comes from a Cape Breton musical legacy.

Controlling synth in an super uncomfortable pose but wonderful singing 😮 I can see how talented artist Molly is. Thank you so much for sharing those Alvvays live videos.

Hate to be that guy but she's not playing a synth she's playing with the delay effects on her voice. Still, wicked talented.

I imagined this would be nasty to perform live. Her vocal work while crouching like that is impressive.

That’s a good point! I’m sure she practiced it beforehand cause she does it at every show but yea it must be difficult

@@concertconnect6256Well of course she does it at every show..how else is she going to work the effects pedals she's got her vocals run through?

@@benjaminpetersen1952 might be a dumb question but why can't she operate the effects pedals with her feet? I guess she's adjusting a ton of knobs.

ALVVAYS, You came out with your first album in 2017 and I didn't discover your music until spring 2019. I find out too late about much news, such as the time you guys performed in Austin Texas in some night club. Your first album really impacted me. I didn't know what to expect to hear. I wanted to hear something different and there were so many different bands to choose from. I randomly chose ALVVAYS and I ended up really liking what I heard. When I heard how you molly sing and how well the band played. It made me move in a way. I heard the first two songs from the first album and I ended up buying the whole album after that in itunes. Then I purchased the physical CD. The CD version I purchased is missing one track. If there's a CD version that has that track I would buy it all over again. You came out with your third album that got released October 2022. I don't think your second album was as good as the first although there were some catchy tunes. I think I will purchase the third album someday. There's been times like one Thursday dated on November 3, 2022. I was still listening to the first album when I didn't even know you came out with a third album. Times like those is a good reminder(memory) of whenever I felt alone, ALVVAYS was there. I mean your music. As I remember those times when I was left alone, it would make the day seem better than what it was. Hearing the music like if your voice was in my mind, then you were gone as I was going through changes. I don't know if you want to know, but, My experience of hearing "Dives" was that I got kicked in the nads by some girl and got sent to oblivion and I heard "Dives" along the way throughout several days, later, I went to deliver a letter expecting for the person to reply back to me like if I was pretending to fly being a blue jay. Something horrible happened as what I expected to get that person to reply back to me didn't happen though. What happened instead was me getting arrested and got sent to jail. When I got released in late September, I had no idea of your third album being released. Someday I'll purchase my own copy.

Am I reading this wrong, or are you saying that you were harassing some girl who didn't want your advances so you tried to send her a message after she physically made it clear she wasn't interested by kicking you in the balls which lead to you getting arrested for violating a no-contact order?

She runs her guitar through it mostly so it's best left on the floor to stomp on.

I think she uses the same pedals for the guitar so it's easier to control them with her foot.
