Let's watch again the first PBA ball game of Alvin Patrimonio of Purefoods Hotdog, with his teammate Jojo Lastimosa against Allan Caidic and Pido Jarencio of Great Taste Coffee. It took place in Pasig, Ultra during the All-Filipino Conference elimination round in the year 1988

The league was so balanced. Great Taste, good as they are, didn't even make the final in this conference won by Ginebra over Purefoods. Purefoods is still basically Tanduay reinforced by the top amateurs from the previous year (though Ronnie Magsanoc was with Shell). Lastimosa won ROY. Patrimonio was their best player from Day 1 he entered, though belatedly. Tim Cone was a commentator in this game. Memories, especially those brass band playing that tune whenever Purefoods makes a rally or doing well.

Keep this up .. i love to watch old footage with legends when they were playing early on their PBA career. Alvin's poise on his first game, he played like a veteran already not a rookie.
