Hector and Issac stopped releasing them in mass after Dracula died. At this point most of the weaker night creatures will have been killed off and only the really dangerous ones would be left.

A bit of weak ones being culled, but perhaps a larger portion . . . Alucard is drunk and depressed. He's still impressive but he's clumsy- a lot like Belmont at the start of season one. He's deep in the throws of that "killing you was the point; living through it was a luxury" mentality.

It's even more crazy how a town was named after the 4th missing protagonist.

When I first saw this clip I thought Alucard was showing off with the outfit- yeah we know you are buff no need to flex on us lowly mortals jeez…but now I have seen the episode? Nope, it’s just Alucard drunkenly putting his belt and jacket on in the wrong order whilst forgetting his shirt but being dramatic enough to grab a cape

I love Alucards sword play, he's not doing anything fancy like flipping his blade around and crap. He does throws or calcuated crowd control because HE is a Vampire and he's capable. Plus the fact he mostly uses defensive sword play in order to keep people away from him while looking for a weak spot. Well done attention to detail.

I feel like most of Alucard’s fight scenes were underrated this season. Hell, I would love a season’s worth of his fight scenes.

The town name is definitely an Easter Egg to the missing 4th companion Grant Danesti from Castlevania 3. And, I wonder if Greta is sort of the spiritual incarnation of Grant even though it's obvious that she doesn't stick to walls.

Danesti is actually apparently a real town or "commune" in Romania, so it might not be a easter egg. And Greta is not a incarnation of Grant going by the creators, last I heard. Alas, sorry Grant.

(1:23) this fight scene here shows that even though demons usually grunt and grawl, they are still smart. This demon in particular showed some hand-to-hand combat skills resembling that of a boxer.

Not just that, that demon consciously put himself between the other demon and Alucard, *and only defended himself*. He recognized Alucard was here to save the villagers, and he knew attacking Alucard would just open him to be countered and more easily dispatched. That specific demon had enough emotional capacity to understand the biggest "fuck you" to Alucard would be dead villagers

Okay we need Doom Slayer STAT!

I love how this scene feels like one of those missions in video games where you have to protect the NPCs from a bunch of monsters, and if even one enemy breaches the defense while you’re too busy, it’s game over.

1:34 Hunting Sword special attack. Also his proclivity for flying kicks suddenly makes sense when I remember that in Symphony of the Night, you could perform a jumpkick when no weapon is equipped, and how much I used the doublejump dropkick.

They kinda look like Space Pirates. Now I want a Metroid show made by the same studio.

I love the way alucard’a fighting style evolves from season 1-4. He starts off essentially fencing, playing pretend vampire Jesus and getting by on his natural speed and strength advantage. By season 4 he’s totally different, fighting more like a warrior with tighter movements and an actual shield for defense instead of just his vampire zoomies

Alucard in the titles name means it is automatically recommended to me for some reason

A guy that move in a speed of light and yet ride a horse.

Yeah I assume he uses magical energy to help him move in short lightning-light speeds but can’t keep it up for long. Just uses it to help him gain the upper hand in mobs or tough opponents

Oh I love it when any semblance of boxing comes into play in an animated fight. That one crab started out looking really nice, then it went into like animated movement that a human can't do, but still the guard was appreciated by me

Season 2 is still the best, but damnit if they didn’t go all out this season with the animation it’s insane

I feel like that I’m living as eternal youth as immortal vampire with Zagreus, Megaera, Melinoe, Charon, Macaria, Thanatos, Heracles, Hebe, Deimos, Phobos, Adrestia, and Enyalius.

Alucard is so badass. Basically half his father’s power, if that. Yet he still kicks buttocks.

Am I the only person who feels like they nerfed Alucard this season? I feel like some of his fights should have been significantly easier than they were. Could just be me though...

Well, remember he had basically turned into a drunk and was probably not sleeping well either after he had the worlds worst threesome ever, those things more than likely affected his combat abilities a bit, also it feels like the night creatures he was fighting were far more powerful than in Season1-2, it kinda makes sense when you think about it, only the strongest ones would survive this long, he still dispatched most of them in 1 hit though

All the characters were at the lowest point in season 3 and 4, but the point was that even after all that they'd still pull through. Alucard then goes hard in later episodes cause he gets his shit together.

The idea behind the 3 heroes sytha, trevor and alucard is that alone they are good fighters but not amazing, but when they unite they are instoppable. - Sytha by herself gets turned to stone by a cyclops in season 1 - trevor by himself almost get ripped apart by a mob in season 1 before sytha saves him - allucard alone can barely keep the villagers safe from the vampires attacks until trevor and sytha arrives.
