Today I used my guitar and akai mpk mini mk2 to attempt an alternative rock type beat. I grew up listening to grunge, pop/punk and even metal bands. So incorporating guitar into a beat is something I'd like to do more often; and improve on. Hope you like!

kirdot2011 they were my favorite band for the longest time! I was so sad when lead guitarist and drummer left the band in 2010. I got to see them perform live though! I cried haha

How do you record your loop on guitar
Which box or cable do you recommend i use to connect a guitar to my laptop? I want a good sound on a normal budget
So do you actually plug the guitar into the akai? Wow! Great video
more a trap kinda beat imo, love the melody
how do you combine the guitar sound with the beat together ? and did you plug the headphone directly into the akai contorller ?

I just played the guitar first over a metronome so I could keep tempo (I use ableton) and then played the rest of the beat on top of it. And I plugged in the headphones into my laptop; you can’t see it, but it’s there lol I hope this was helpful. Thanks for watching!
I just got an MPK but I'm an absolute beginner and I'm confused on how you added your guitar to the MPK

There is a sample button, if you can hook your guitar up to act as a microphone it will be available in the sampler tab
Can you reccord your guitare on the midi ? :O
Did you plug the guitar to the mpk mini

No. I connect it to my audio interface and from there i record it using ableton live :) hope this helps!
