The Flawed alternates are definitely more unnerving than the Pure Forms. Pure Forms are just a human shadow with white eyes, and that’s it. Flawed on the other hand have so many different forms of making themselves look terrifying

Nah, I think jumpscares is a very unaffective and abused horror trope. It's a breath of fresh air to see a good horror game that doesn't even have them, let alone rely on them unlike something like five nights at freddy's or the resident evil games.

One thing i love about this being in the Mandela Catalogue universe is that while it looks goofy to us, imagining this goofy badly photoshopped picture of a nun rapidly whispering at us appearing exactly that way in front of you goes from being funny to terrifying once you realize the characters in this universe see it that way without looking at it on a screen. That goofy PNG is just there, no computer, same 16 bit audio whispering, impossible, yet concretely in front of you.
