Altered Playing Cards, Vintage Style |

Getting back to my deck of altered playing cards today. I did three more (I've lost count on the numbers.) These have a definite vintage vibe! I love them! They are regular old game cards from a kids Old Maid deck. I have altered them with old paper collages and acrylic paint, and put grommets in the corners so I can hang them together with the rest of the deck that I have already altered.

These cards are spectacular. I had the same problem yesterday with threading my machine. I was using black thread, and it was impossible even with my strongest readers. I find I do better with white thread, but not much better. Love that Tim Holts stamp first time I’ve seen it. Making these altered cards is so much. TFS. I did. So very glad you are well God bless!

Evelyn Rauseo thanks Evelyn! Yeah threading that needle is the pits...it WAS black thread, too. I asked for that stamp for Christmas, and when I got it, I was shocked to see how small it was...I didn’t pay attention when I put it in my Amazon list. But it’s good for these small projects. ❤️

thanks Steph! I ordered some from The Needle Lady...she used Schmetz needles and alters them for easy side threading, but in a way so they don’t come unthreaded. Haven’t tried them yet.

Sure, if you just use paint and collage it won’t add a lot of texture or weight. Might be a bit harder to shuffle though. Thanks for watching ❤️
