That was very fascinating to watch. So one journal is basically images and marks to use as collage in the other? I loved how you worked on multiple pages at once with consistent themes running through. Do you ever write about your images or give your characters a voice? It seems like it would add an even deeper, therapeutic dimension. Where do you get all your images?

I absolutely adore your work - watching you create is mesmerizing ! And you seriously have the most delicious collage fodder !! The book that you tear pieces out of - did you create all of those pages to use specifically for collage fodder? If so that is the coolest idea and I think I need to do that .

Hi Donna! I do kind of have a system for my fodder creations but it hard to describe!!! 😂 I like to process papers over and over again and it’s really just complete chaos with marks, coffee, tea and dirty paint water, tearing, glueing and repeat. I also tear things out of other journals to re use in current work.

Are you using oil pastels for some of your mark making? If so, how do you prevent it from smearing when you close the book? If not oil pastels, then what? Thanks. Love watching you fly.

Fixadent, then clear gesso afterwards will help.
