Thank you! Believe it or not but one of my all-time favorite things to do is glue magazine images (usually square ones) onto tea dyed or grid or lined paper and BOOM! Instant journaling card! So glad you found this helpful 😘😘

Great video! You do what I do with my magazines but I haven't seen too many others do this. My fear was that I might not be in the right frame of mind for junk journaling. It's good to know, I'm not the only one. ;)

The accordion file isn't working tho... It's so hard to see what I have... So I'm stealing an idea from Shannon Green and using file folders and stapling a sheet protector inside for the smalls. I'll make a video of that, too when I make a video of my new craft space organization. Thanks for watching!

Hello, just came over to sub per our Crafting Mamas this eve. It was fun chatting with everyone. Wow, loved this video. You’re really thorough in explaining. Glad I subscribed. I enjoy using mags as well as you do. You just have to look at them “differently” - like an “artist” - which we are. I don’t have 425,000 (as you mentioned that that’s too many), but perhaps a couple hundred in my stash (LOL). I use a medium-sized plastic container that’s made to hold legal size hanging folders to categorize and hold my clippings-thought that might be a better solution for you. Look forward to future videos. BTW: that’s a lovely junk journal you made.

Its always interesting to see how others organize their stuff. I have one of those tall plastic shelving units that you see at michaels with I think 12 shallow removable colorful drawers that I organize my images in. When I harvest a magazine, I gather whatever pleases my eye at the time of harvest. Whether I have a plan for the image or not. My categories are: People, beauty/fashion, backgrounds, jewelry/clocks, food, body parts, flowers, animals, words/numbers/phrases, and misc/all others. Love the idea of gluing your images to book pages, but don’t you find it bulks up your pages too much?

  • @LovelyMalia

I usually plan for the bulk so it doesn't fill them too much... Except when I use them in art journals but I like those nice and bulky 😉
