He just seems a bit uncomfortable in social situations. He looked a bit nervous to me. But, you could see him bobbing his head a bit to the music when Terry got into it. How could you not? Terry is the kind of infectious that you actually want to have going on.

A little reminder, a building is not the church, the people who serve the Lord of heaven are💕👍😎

Terry....my grandma used to crush the organ in a Southern Baptist church in South Carolina, USA. She would play with a blues soul, a smile, and a wild heart. I always thought she belonged playing at a dirty dueling piano bar...and not a church. But she loved it. So cool to see, brought back a lot of memories of the coolest woman I ever knew.

The lord loves music. He gave us this! Joy and freedom for all

I was raised in a very strict religious environment and was forced to do way too much Bible studies. But, I remember that somewhere in there, it says something like "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord"! Church Boogie Woogie would definitely help the moods of many church services!

On the eighth day the Lord told Terry to play..... and everything was joyous ❤️

the problem is that this music is a music from the world. If you bring someone from a thing of the world he will stay with the world. A church goal is to bring people to God which wants you to be ''out" of the World.

I absolutely think that boogie woogie would be approved in most churches. Bible tells us to make a joyful sound unto the Lord, and you certainly make a joyful sound , Terry! You are always respectful , and acknowledge that you are in the house of the Lord. God bless you!

@@neortik7 Yes, but Terry is playing gospel music., Which to me is totally acceptable. It is not secular music just because he's playing it to a different beat then the original tempo. I truly believe that Terry music would be welcome by any parishioner.

Terry you're awesome man. Thank you for bringing some fun and joy to a world that needs it.

It wasn't like Terry was playing during a service or in front of a congregation. I bet the halls of that church never resonated with such a sound before. For a boogie, that was a rather tame one, but was still peppy enough to get toes tapping and heads bobbing. I don't think "Great Balls of Fire" is something you'd want to break off in a church, but some instrumental classics with a bit of a boogie splash might be nice to liven things up. There's a time to be solemn, and there is a time for joy.

While rehearsing for a school end of term service at the nearby church our guitar group jammed out Highway to Hell just for fun and the reverend walked in nodded his head a few times to the beat and then left saying "sounding good lads"

I have no problem with it at all. You are always respectful, and your music is joyful. How could anyone be unhappy with that?

I am sure the Lord approved . I am Baptist so I see it as joyous !

Young Matt, there, strikes me as one of the kids they'd have had in "remedial" class back in the day. All too often, people like him get left out. I got a mate who's like that, Peter, and he's never been able to fit in, even though he's a proper lovely bloke. If'n Matt's the official Church Organist, that's really cool and all power to him. Oh, and god loves a bit of boogie woogie ;)

Church is the body of believers in service to the Lord. It represents the Kingdom of God and not this world. The music should not reflect a pub for one example. But I understand what you’re trying to say Lyle. Boogie Woogie is a joyful sound.

There is no better place to have “happiness” in music. I was in a gospel group in the the 70’s and our leader was also the church pianist.This lady NEVER played the straight hymns, there was always the “Boogie Woogie” in it all!. She played in honky tonks before joining the church. Terry’s music videos brings back the happier times of my teen tears! Thank you for all you do!

I remember once watching a talented guitarist and singer in a club and he also used a "drum machine" (electronic device that emulates a drum kit) to accompany himself. He had a tip jar for himself and a tip jar for the "drum machine". A couple of times he even thanked the "drum machine".

What music to be played in a church, when it is for praising the Lord: Psalm 150. "Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2) Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3) Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4) praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, 5) praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6) Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord." So even percussion and dancing (Boogie Woogie) is allowed.

That was great! Thank you Matt, Terry and Elsie. Churches (in the US) would get a lot more membership, especially young people, if they started playing hymns like Terry! You certainly would be uplifted and whistling as you left the church. The rest of the day would be happier and upbeat.

Agree 100% Kent. Same applies here in the UK. If Terry was playing the hymns there would soon be standing room only. How Great Thou Art has to be one of the most respectful hymns ever composed, and to me at least is not in any way disrespectful when played in this style.
