Many of us know the brilliant work of Joan Didion, but few had as intimate access to the author as her nephew, Griffin Dunne. The noted actor, writer, and director details his experience working with his late aunt on his documentary, "Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold", in the Spring 2022 issue of Alta Journal. He sits down with Alta managing editor Blaise Zerega for a very special episode of Alta Live in which Dunne will share stories from the making of the film, discuss his life within one of the United States’ most famous literary families (his father was Dominick Dunne), and offer his perspective on the legacy of one of California’s most iconic writers, his aunt.
