His sister, Dominique Dunne, played the oldest daughter in the movie Poltergeist. It’s horrible how her future was taken from her; rest her soul.

American Werewolf in London is one of my all time favorites. I just watched Poltergeist a couple of nights ago. I’ve not seen it in years. Still great.

I was a Private Duty Nurse to Griffin Dunnes mother, Ellen Dunne, (Lenny) at her sprawling home in Nogales, AZ. She was a sweet but very sophisticated lady even with MS that kept her bedbound. I met Griffin, his then wife Carey Lowel, Dominique & Alex Dunne. I would go to their home from mine in Tucson, AZ. & spend the week with staff relief on weekends. What happened to Dominique at the hands of John Patrick Maura was brutal & that trial was HORRIFIC. That murderous slob actually called Ellen twice that I remember to terrorize her! Last I knew he was a chef at Smith Ranch Homes in CA. His hands that choked her to death now feed people!!! It gags me to consider that!!!!

Yeah. I read all about Dominique. She was only 22 when she died, her whole life and career ahead of her…..and her costar, Heather O’Rourke, would die just 6 years later, from a heart attack. Such a sad sad story.

I’m halfway through the book and it is riveting. Haven’t gotten to Dominique’s tragic death yet (rest her soul), but wow, what an amazing childhood! I only wish he had included pictures. I’m an huge Joan Didion fan, so I love how often he mentions her, and his adoration for her. Overall, it’s a very good book.

Would you rather she interrupt the incredible storytelling. Which she is already always criticised for. It is clear she is showing she’s listening and her interest in the story and letting him promote his book. Which is the entire purpose of the interview

@@justinm.1 I've watched lots and lots of clips. I've been watching the show since it began. I like Kelly. She's an incredible singer. I could listen to her all day. She's been given a gift. But she's a terrible interviewer. The format of the show is a "talk" show. Her follow up to most guests "I love that."

@@Mmm-km8yv No, of course I don't want her to interrupt. Don't be silly. But if her job title is 'talk show host' I do want her to be able to hold an intelligent and interesting conversation. I do want her to be able to ask curious follow up questions and engage the guest.. enrich the conversation. She's not capable.
