AlphaTricks Monogram Mapping
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this lunchtime learning session we chat about how to turn a collection of letters that when put together create a 3 letter monogram into a keyboard font.
This process is called "mapping" in AlphaTricks. Monograms are typically capital letters and have 3 locations - left, center and right. The import font dialog box not only allows you to set the locations AND the keystroke characters BUT ALSO allows you to adjust baselines and spacing!

You are such a great teacher! Font mapping makes SO much more sense to me. I bought several fonts before buying Embrilliance software modules and it was a PITA to embroider them. I’ve now mapped 75% of them since owning Alpha Tricks ❤
Thank you Lisa, I got a new computer and I was trying to remember how to import all my fonts. This was perfect timing ! Thank you so much ! Love these afternoon short classes it refreshes my old memory lol

You are so welcome!
This was very informative, thanks Lisa.
Great review! Thanks Lisa!
Wow thanks so very much!!! I did not know that you could import fonts into the keyboard let alone chane positioning of letters.
You are a fabulous teacher! I am still a bit confused on what fonts need mapping and which do not. If they show in my dropdown they are mapped?

Correct. If you purchase a design collection of letters that do not include the BX installation file - those need to be mapped in order to show up in your font list.
The Shuler Studio monogram font we just downloaded does not sort letters by size. what to do? thank you.

Sort them in windows explorer first.
Hi, can you tell me please if this software allows you to save the font in BX format after you've mapped them?

No. You don’t need an installation file - it’s already mapped on your computer. In StitchArtist L3 you can digitize your own alphabet and publish for personal use OR publish to BX for distribution- because you digitized the collection.

@@Embrilliance Thanks, that's what i meant, i'm a digitizer and i need to convert my existing fonts that are in machine formats and ESA to BX files for distribution. I guess the AlphaTricks is not for that.

@@vladimirj.146 correct. StitchArtist L3 allows you to digitize and publish native fonts as BX installation files with Digital Rights Management (DRM)
