Hi, i follow your tutos whitch are so interesting and so clear but it's difficult for me because of my poor english. I've some questions for you , i don't know if it's the right place here, i'm going to start some kits with a new airbrush and new paints. Want to begin with zero paints. Why don't you sand down The model after painting and before the clear coat ? How long between painting and the clear coat ? Some people put one clear coat before de decals, what do you think ? Thank you in advance.

You will never have the same results unfortunately, zero paints are made to replicate cars' paint(they are actually) while vallejo, especially the gloss varnish, is just to coat airplanes and tanks to put decals and then recoat them with matt varnish.

quick question. when you are polishing and adding wax to get your shine, do you have a problem with getting some between the panel lines and not being able to reach it? Good choice of colour, yellow wouldn't have looked right, unless it was metallic. Maybe. Pity the blue of the decal is a bit lost in the blue of the car. Man with your skilz I'd have expected you to paint the white on and left it at that! Tom I have a question. My clear went cloudy when I added the thinner. I tried it on my tester car body, it seemed fine. Put it on my project model and all seemed ok. The trunk lid looked slightly cloudy, but only at certain angles, so I going to leave it. But areas of the hood and most of one side of the car has gone cloudy. The hardener of my clear set is newer than the thinner and clear. Do you know if any of the elements of the 2k set have a shelf life at all?

  • @TheScalemodelingChannel

@@TheScalemodelingChannel Thanks for that mate. So I'll need to buy a whole new set. I admit I did use the same pipet for each part, although I used to use separate ones. Last few times I just used the same one, so that's probably not helped either.

@@TheScalemodelingChannel Yeah I think I've learned that lesson now! I'll order a new set and get to repainting my project next week. Flocking you sent me is better, but I still need to practice applying the clear for it to stick to. If it doesn't stick well to the gloss clear, a shine can be seen under the flocking, so I'm guessing a semi gloss or matt clear might be better?
