GORGEOUS!! I have the MPC 1:16 scale version of this car and if it comes out looking as good as yours I'll be very happy! You can wet-sand with 600 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper and then polish with Meguiars mirror glaze or ultimate polish to make it shiny or rather glossy. Yours looks like glass! This is how gloss should always look. Thank you once again for sharing this with the rest of us.
@ronschlorff70895 жыл бұрын
Fabulous job, as usual! The work on the finish really paid off! That's what stops me from doing car models, I could not bring myself to color sand the gloss finish, I'd say "done" at that point and totally miss the gorgeous out come that you got with the extra efforts!!

Wow! Love your finish. You do it the exact same way as electric guitar bodies (and car bodies of high quality): #2000 wet sanding (you even went 3000!) then with a buffing compound and a buffing wheel to get that glassy, blemish free, super gloss finish. Then hand waxed. Awesome!!!
@haroldwhodunit12176 жыл бұрын

The shelby's were almost entirely of British parts origin except for the drivetrain. The psycho Carol shelby took a light British car and put a nice American 289 in it. Then later the side oiler. I say psycho because that's how he described what the brits thought of him. I was fortunate to have met him on 3 occasions and he was a heck of a nice guy. The second and third time he remembered me, he and my mom both got their names from the same place. Great model as usual, great to see you do a car.
