Be honest with yourself

It’s not easy always being strong. Since you are Christian sometimes having Christian music or the audible Bible low in the background keeps peace in your house .

On Christmas Day, I finished reading a book, had a nice bath and then I ordered Indian food and ate the whole damn thing to myself… I will look back on Christmas 2022 fondly.

This was so refreshing. I can’t put my finger on what the difference is but this video is rooted in peace and being content with life. Thank you professor!

This is wholesome!! Glad to see I'm not the only one. Being able to sit with yourself and spend time solo is both brave and amazing. People should do this more often. I'm loving every minute of it. It's a chance for me to rest up and reflect on the year ahead without interruptions. I can choose to do lunch with a friend or particular family member but that's all. Talk about self love and being comfortable in your own skin.🎉🥰🙏

I thought I made good-quality friends in college but suddenly out of all these people nobody cared to celebrate New Year with me haha. ( its obviously not their priority) and I'm honestly sad that I gave them all of my time ( getting out of my comfort zone to socialize and I was kinda proud of myself for it lol) and got nothing...Even my parents say it's sad to be on my own on a New Year but I just don't give a f anymore. I never felt lonely when I was alone and forcing people that don't appreciate me to hang with me just so that I have a ' friend' around is the saddest thing..

Yeah I had the same thing happened to me. On the upside the people who unintentionally hurt my feelings let me to a quiet person in their friend group who I ended up hanging out with recently. Turns out they feel the exact same way.

So at the very beginning of this video, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to laugh or cry. Even though I’m a loner like you but I’m also a single parent w/ 2 awesome kids, so I’m never really alone. then I asked, WWKSD?🤔And I started laughing and eating tiramisu😊sending love and light always.❤️🙏🏾

Yee haw, Kelly! Yeah, I used to do the Christmas thing every year. Not anymore. Don't even miss it a little. Obviously Christmas day is a little rough. But when that's literally the only CON to skipping it, it's pretty much a no brainer. And just like that, December becomes an enjoyable, relaxing and inexpensive month again! ☺

I enjoy being alone on Christmas. Good time to reflect on the journey and all the great memories. I usually fix a turkey with the fixings, watch It's a Wonderful Life, and listen to Christmas music. Life is too short to feel bad about being alone on Christmas. Make it the best Holiday ever!

I do enjoy my alone time.. I did a couple of visits Christmas Day, then back home to enjoy a movie...HOWEVER, I definitely would like to have a guy in my life just to sit quietly on the couch as WE watch a good movie...After that he can go home...lol

It is better to save our energy for meaningful meetings instead of attending some toxic dinners where we are not treated with respect. Thank you for sharing this special moment with us, you are not alone Kelly, after all, we went shopping together☺👗. Happy New Year from Australia. 💗

Great job. Your dry-humor genius & awakeness remind me of a heartening old TV com-drama called Ally McBeal (i think!)...she's a solo lawyer out bravely navigating the world & philosophizing, gathering wisdom & rightly & wryly questioning the herd. I had a relieving longed-for solo Christmas. Divine! After years of feeling internally obliged on every occasion to show up for & uplift the elders, youngers & others, i feel finally free in this universe. The elders died, yet are with me in a realer way. The youngers are happy in their own journeys. I want solitude time to digest all those years & so much love they harvested, & more 'alone' time with God, nature & my own peaceful pilgrim soul. When alone, we are actually more directly with every being in the universe, & especially kind Maker.

Thankyou. Thankyou for that vulnerability around being alone. I have family but also, live my life in general very alone and there is sometimes a shane around this as humans. It feels so good to know we aren't alone in our aloneness. Thankyou. Just thankyou.

I've been really stressed this year running a business and a career as well as finishing my masters so actually when I started thinking of how I had to travel to my family for Christmas. I started crying horribly. I was so tired and just wanted to sleep. I ended up going to my family and we had a very lavish meal and lots of gifts but I also really enjoyed seeing my parents and siblings. I also realised I just needed a serious long term break from work and that I was burnt out. Now I am spending new years eve with my boyfriend and I'm going to try and enjoy it rather than complaining about how tired I am. 2023 I will prioritise giving myself rest. Love to see you doing the same. I hope you enjoy the new year Kelly 🙂

We're the same age and I have notoriously spent at least 3 Christmas's alone by now, even when I only lived about 50 minutes away from home. Nothing wrong with it honestly! I never did care for the commercialism of these holidays even as a kid so.

For Christmas, I had no intention of going out or having anyone over after last year's Christmas it was a fiasco. I was very content staying home with my son.
