Lyrics
Mhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Cross this road
Mhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
When I was just a little boy
I would go to play
And I would wonder so far from home
That I would lose my way
Then I call my Mama to help me
And she came right away
To help me get back home, where I wanna be
And here's what I say
Mama hold my hand
I don't think I can cross this road by myself
Mama hold my hand
I don't think I can cross this road by myself
Then when I was younger
I would go astray
Didn't wont nobody to hold my hand
Wanted to make my own way
Mama hold my hand
I don't think I can cross this road by myself
Mama hold my hand
I don't think I can cross this road by myself

This is the most beautiful song I have ever heard about a son to his mother. I cried so hard when I listened to it I immediately called my mom to thank her. Whoever has anything negative to say about this song must be heartless.

"Whoever has anything negative to say about this song must be heartless." Not everyone had a mother who gave enough of a shit to hold their hand when they were scared. Some people have abusive mothers, and they're still bitter about it. Must be nice to have had such a supportive mother that you now feel confident enough to judge other people like this.

My son is getting married on August 21, of this year, 2021. This is the song he chose for "our" dance at the reception. I just know that I'm going to lose it. I told my son that he may have to help me out a little to get through it. He promised that he would.

My mother passed away when I was only 9 years old I cry all the time because I'm so lost without her and when times get hard I wish she was still here to hold my hand, to hug me and tell me everything is going to be alright. I miss her dearly and can't wait to see her again. When its all over.😪

My son has dealt with depression off and on through his teenage and young adult life. He was living about 4 hours away from me and one day I had a message and he sent this to me. I had forgotten all about it and until I saw The Beats commercial with Colin Kaepernick. I loved that song and just did a google search and found this song. It made me cry and made me regret all the times I was a crappy mom to my sons. I love them dearly

Miss you mom... Thanks for your awesome legacy of love. My prayer is that you are resting in peace and love. My heart stopped 4/9/09 the day you transitioned. I keep pushing for my daughter so that she can understand what it feels like to know this type of unconditional love. To Aloe Blacc... you are awesome. It feels like this song was written just for me ... #7 of 7 kids... my momma's baby. Continued Blessings!😊💋❤🌹❤💋🌱💔😔
