A year before my mom died i showed her this song. It became our song. Im so glad I did this because it was one of most special moments in my life. It Will Always be our connection.

Some people have abusive mothers, and they're still bitter about it. Must be nice to have had such a supportive mother that you now feel confident enough to judge other people like this.

My son is getting married on August 21, of this year, 2021. This is the song he chose for "our" dance at the reception. I just know that I'm going to lose it. I told my son that he may have to help me out a little to get through it. He promised that he would.

I am a daughter but my Mom has dementia and this song breaks my heart.

When my baby girl died in labour and my wife in care in hospital, I needed the words to ask my mum for help I played this in the car with her, we both cried it's now our song forever

My mother passed away when I was only 9 years old I cry all the time because I'm so lost without her and when times get hard I wish she was still here to hold my hand, to hug me and tell me everything is going to be alright. I miss her dearly and can't wait to see her again. When its all over.😪

When I heard this song i broke down, but i needed to hear it.

This is what music is about. Telling a story modern day music is 3 sentences with a catchy chorus.

This was the mother-son dance at my son’s wedding reception. It took all I had in me to keep it together. I melted.

My son has dealt with depression off and on through his teenage and young adult life. He was living about 4 hours away from me and one day I had a message and he sent this to me. I had forgotten all about it and until I saw The Beats commercial with Colin Kaepernick. I loved that song and just did a google search and found this song. It made me cry and made me regret all the times I was a crappy mom to my sons. I love them dearly

So I had headphones on, must have been 11pm, just back from a manly session of legs at the gym,when this came on on my spotify, never heard it before..I cried like a baby. My Mama's gone 5 years now. She was my rock, the only one I had in this life..f@#k, I'm in the office typing this and I'm crying now..lol..what a wimp!!.better dry my eyes 'for my workmates think I've lost it..

my fav artist. yes he is "the man". he came to my city in new Zealand. I was at the end of the stage with my daughter on my shoulders while all the drunk peeps were in the middle, as soon as he came out on stage he ran over to where we were and gave my little girl a big wave. she waved back and he smiled at her. a true gentleman! thanks for what u do bro. one love!!!!

I lost my mother a few years ago. For the last few years of her life my little brother and I held her hand. This song speaks to fatherless adults well.

This song helped me over the last year immensely. It also brought a smile to my Mother's face when I would sing it to her. It was one of the last things I sang to her when she transitioned this past July. It continues to be a balm for the hole in my heart and soul! Thank you, more than you'll ever know, Aloe Blacc!

this made me remember my mom's tough ordeal (3 yr survivor of cancer) & my grandmother's passing all at once ... I couldn't hold back the tears, I haven't fell this emotional over a song in a long while. beautiful song :D *tissues are flowing*
