I would guess something to do with weed seed in the manure or maybe even from the horse bedding, did you use any on that bed?

I had that many weeds after I sowed Touchon carrots in a Bucket.

I have had the same issue with digging in the raised beds and it turned out to be rabbits

That bed of weeds 😂 how's that happened looks like a mattress 😂. Everything else looking great

lets see these shoes tony. i can,t believe that carrot bed turned out like that, it was a work of art that sprinkling method. i was expecting greatness and you,ve evended up with premier rabbit food . you could have a nap on that when its hot. 😂
