Alligator Death Rolls Turkey!!!

For the FIRST TIME EVER we caught Soni the alligator doing a DEATH ROLL! It’s our annual tradition to feed Soni and Chompers the alligators a turkey during Thanksgiving. This year shocked us when we caught him doing a death roll to tear apart his giant turkey dinner! Alligators and crocodiles can’t chew their food like we can, so when they eat large prey items, like a 22lb turkey, that they can’t swallow whole, they will often do death rolls or head thrashes to help tear apart the meat. We also feed Chompers the alligator her favorite, a turkey neck! She also eats a Cornish game hen which she devours. I hope you enjoyed watching the alligators gobble up a turkey on Thanksgiving! It's amazing how despite growing up in captivity, Soni still eats like a wild alligator! That death roll was wild!

Explanation: A Death Roll is when an alligator or crocodile cant swallow its prey whole so it bites into it and rolls around to tear a chunk off. Soni nor Chompers is "dead" death rolls do not mean the gators died. Do not worry about them. It's okay. Likely the only dead thing is the frozen turkey that Soni devoured.

I have seen videos of bigger gators do it in the wild and it’s def crazy. the power those rolls can bring ! Our arms wouldn’t have a chance

Why are they cute? They are supposed to be predators but then Sony tucks his stubby legs into his chubby self and does a death roll. Alligators are cute and chubby if healthy. They have beautiful markings too. I have been around alligators before. My family saved a brood of baby alligators and we were able to release them back into the area they came from. Sadly the mother was killed by hunters and her eggs were left behind. My cousins went out with other rescues to gather the brood. There were 12 and they all hatched but one was born with a missing leg. We ended up raising him and he became our family alligator and we used him for teaching children about alligators and wildlife. He now lives in a large sanctuary with lots of females and he's fathered hundreds of babies maybe thousands. He loves people so he wouldn't be good in the wild, he thinks people are his food and safety so he seeks their attention like a dog would. Alligators are very smart and good climbers. They can climb a fence. I have witnessed it.

How old is that usual for an alligator to start a death roll? I want to learn more about alligators.
To be honest, I’m not surprised soni doing a death row because he’s an alligator I know a lot of than their biology behaviour and alligators can eat blue crabs
