Allertor 125 siren in Chaska, MN
Ғылым және технология
This is one of our first videos, It is in Chaska by the Von Hanson's Meat Market downtown. It is very close to houses & apartments and very low on the pole compared to a lot of sirens, so it must and be very loud for the resdients living in this area, it shook our car windows.

This is a VERY healthy Allertor! It's delightful to listen to.
I like the one that comes after all of those events -- The installation of a brand new Allertor siren in our new, reset city.
Nice job recording that 9/12 port Allertor. The quality looks awesome! 5 stars!
They're actually some of the best, as long as you stay on top of checking the capacitors in the motor starter box. They'll pretty much run forever as long as they're not overloaded or damaged by natural causes (i.e. lightning strike).
Great sound--one of my favorites!
At the end it almost sounds like an airplane going down, LOL!
Has a pretty good pick-up. I like older sirens vs. the standard gray FS-2001's that dominate most of my region. THOUGH, last Fall (2009), I discovered a Thunderbolt on the Aitkin PD, and just recently, mind-blowing that I never noticed it, a 3T22 in Eveleth. How I ever missed it is beyond me, but next time I see my doctor, oh man, I gotta take a pic with my cell! Yeah, bit of a siren nut, but that's due to my love for storms/tornadoes and disaster movies.
I just realized the other day that there are actually 6 sirens in my town. They're all Thunderbolts! I've only seen 3 of them, though.
nice
Cottage Grove, MN used to have one of these, only to be replaced by what I believe is a Federal Signal Siren.
This isn't a 8/12 model, it's just a single phase 9/12 with the 10hp Doerr motor. It sounds like it has a blown/dry run capacitor, which is what's making it lower pitched.
nice i am planing to record that when they test the sirens asap
I live in Chaska near downtown. I hate this siren. You can barely hear it from just a few blocks away because it's blocked by so many trees and buildings. I wish we had a refurbished t-bolt. :-)
I grew up right by this sucker! Haha.
it seems that minnesota has the same sirens in all cities lol
Congrats!!! Thunderbolts are quite nice sirens. BTW, do they have DC back-up? Oh, and I must stand corrected. I took three pics of the Federal Signal on the 26th, and as it would turn out, it's actually a 2T22. I did not see any boxes for solenoids, which is, of course, the trait of the 3T22.
I'm honestly not sure whether or not they have DC back-up, but I suspect they do. And the boxes are actually a bit hard to notice if you're not looking for them (although that's probably just me, since I tend to be fairly oblivious xD).
is this pretty much a rotating SD-10
yup thats basically what it is
LOL at the start....."son"- tweat twaet "father"-look out son were about to be pidgeon popcorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bbbbbbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzfather and son-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! LOL

How would you feel if we all said that to you on one of your own interests?
is that a tornado siren?
The Sirens by my house are really annoying. And they take like ten minutes to turn off
why hate Allertor? they are one of a kind because input is bottom part and output is top.
How the hell could you stand out there that long!
