Regardless of what you believe in, there’s no denying that something has a hold of this building. You can stand all by yourself in Allen and feel the power of it sit on top of you. It may all be mental, but to me, The Phog is a very real thing.

travel with professional sports teams for a living across leagues all over the planet and i will say the empty stadium hits me harder no matter the location. anywhere historic especially.

So, I work for KU athletics and often have to be one of, if not the, last person in AFH regularly. I swear that the ghost of Naismith is in the building still. AFH has a supernatural feeling, especially when it’s empty.

This place has a magical almost feel about it. There is no other place like it

so the Jayhawks and the Chiefs have some of the loudest fans
