Allemande- Partita in A minor for flute (J. S. Bach) BWV 1013

The Allemande (first movement) from Bach's Partita in A minor for flute.
There are two sections to this video:
1. A performance of the movement.
2. Play-by-play, where I interrupt myself to explain what I am thinking and doing as the piece goes by.
I think the challenge of this movement is deciphering the phrases in two pages of straight sixteenth notes, and then the pacing of the phrases. I explain some of my musical decisions and give a basic guideline of how to approach this movement in the second part of the video.
Let me know in the comments if you found this video format helpful!

Madam, I am a great admirer of the music of J.S. Bach. It was very pleasant for me to listen to your playing. I came across you by chance while looking for some flute tutorials. I am just an adult beginner flute player, originally from India. I never had the opportunity to play any instrument as a child and in my youth. I heard the great Jean Pierre Rampal playing Vivaldi's Four Seasons on the flute. I was so impressed that I wanted to learn to play the flute. I had a few lessons, stopped playing for almost 10 years, and now I started practising the flute. Since no one has commented, I decided to leave my humble comments. Thanks for sharing 🙏
