The last monk to collect a relic decides to take a path straight through enemy territory without you noticing.

Not paying attention to your farms and then your farmers just stop farming and everything isn’t Reseeded Getting double teamed while your already in a fucked up situation with someone else Getting your coastline attacked by a war gallery Villagers getting stuck in between houses Your own army destroying other civilizations markets Your transport ships mysteriously disappearing while having a ton of villagers and military on them When you build your castle too close to the forest and then when you go and create the unique units or trebuchets they get stuck in between the castle and the forest Population limit reached And finally Hearing that horn

1:55 I was surprised you named this "Castle denied". A more appropriate and technical term is... a "Daut castle"

Wall gets denied and a whole band of knights pours in

Villagers wall themselves when building houses. Trading carts stuck at markets. Units walk through or around enemies without attack (if not manually using Patrol, meleeing units are stupid af). Units ignore everything trying to get to the gathering point set by buildings, this is the most annoying one, they wont attack even if enemies are 2 tiles away from the gather point. They have to get to the exact point before doing anything! Also I've seen AI build towers on their path and kill a lot if you dont notice. I won't include things like rading farms or trading lines. But those i mentioned were stupid logics in aoe2 HD!

Or when boar luring when the boar hits the vil it tries to fight back only to die, making the boar return to its original position.

From not using the proper term "DauT castle" in the video, I thought the same. :-) Although I couldn't find out when exactly was that term first used... One comment under KZread video called "Origin of the Daut Castle" mentions it was coined by ZeroEmpires, but doesn't mention the date.

This series is underrated. Looking for more videos!

After DE came, he gone without a trace 😢

I once had 2 guys try to tower rush me at the same time and it failed miserably. Until one of the guys managed to get a castle up. Map was acropolis. My 2 teammates literally went and cleared them all out while I fought off the towers.

A reason why i love AoE 2 so much is the over all aspect of it, i don't know i just love it a lot! And the definitive edition really improved the game a lot

My PC doesnt have Graphics Card and i can run Definitive edition pretty well, so i Say it's a Great improvement over the original in all, tbh I started to love Age of Empires when i got it!

you missed the ultimate boar getting eaten by TC

You forgot the other: When your villagers are getting attacked and your troops are still busy to make their formation

Farm placement be like: "Aight, imma place the farms as far as possible"

Loggers chopping down trees on the ends of your walls, making a nice little gap for the enemy.

the problem with res trapped by trees never occur that often. there is a pretty good algorythm that prevents it. ok sometimes somewhere on the map are ressources trapped, but never the start package.

I always feel the "out of resources" one because I am a noob at the game 😥 1:25

I'm a noob too, and I play against hardest-level computers who are too dumb to invade rationally, as the most they do is send an invasion force of 3 losers once an hour. Computers were designed for land maps, not world maps.

Been fighting AI till Hardest difficulty, its not absurd to have 120 villagers at once. Keep the economy flows and swarm the enemies

theres so much more pain then this. seige tower hopping. when u click sell a resource in market and it sells 1000. improperly scouted map to find a one tile gap into your base.

I don't think I have the best of computers but it can run DE , atleast for an hour .

To be honest, I actually said aloud "Yeah, right." But after watching and seeing each respective gripe, I completely take back what I said. This had sooooo much pain put into it, especially the part about advancing to the next age or any time you're in the middle of researching something only to have the building destroyed just before it finishes. God I both love and hate this game, really makes me want to get back into it.
