I like all the ones that shut with urgency rather than slowly, if it is peak time and the doors close slowly it feels as if the whole journey is too slow.

I've noticed that all Japanese trains only have sliding doors that kind of goes inside the train. Like at 15:46 you can see that the doors can't be seen when they are open. They never have designs where the sliding doors are outside of the train and can be seen even if it's open, like the one at 12:11. Is there a reason for this? Are there any major differences between the two types of design?

Yes, it is rare to have sliding doors in Japan. Among the reasons considered is that pushing passengers into crowded trains will be a lot more difficult from the outside for sliding door trains.
