If he's honest he would not be promoting food products that are actually terrible, and the fact he said this buffet laksa is the best he ever hard speaks volume about what his "real" taste are like, terrible

Those look like the best, and most imaginative desserts that I have seen at any buffet. And those mousse deserts look like they are done right, which is hard to do. Kudos to the pastry chefs.

Mousse desserts are cheap and lazy for buffets to make. That's why they all have them. Serve some honest-to-God cakes and pies, and you will have my respect. But they won't, because it is simply too much work.

Because it is a lot more work to churn out tons of relatively small cakes and pies than it is to make up huge vats of creamy shit and squirt it into little cups. That is why cruise lines offer all of that creamy stuff as well. Sorry for the bad news, restaurant expert.

@@mikeymutual5489 Again, making a mousse PROPERLY is much, much harder then any cake of pie. These in particular looked to be made well. Yes, anyone can make a crappy mousse, but these don't look like they are quickly put together. I have worked in bakeries for years. I have also made pastries, en masse. I have iced and decorated over 70 cakes in one shift. So yeah, I know exactly what I am talking about. And cakes and pies are so much easier then getting a mousse the right consistency. Maybe your mousses was shit, that is why it was so easy for you.

From North Yorkshire and I love having Yorkshire puddings every Sunday 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Still wish we had a better selection of food where I am in the UK! Great video as always xx

I appreciate his description of the food as he is seeing and eating it. Feels like I am there with him. As a traveler I can plan as some places to visit depending on what just looks irresistible.

I love it when you’re in Korea or Japan!! You’re the reason for me learning Korean and loving their food culture!

For Seafood Buffet I like Pergolas restaurant in the SwissHotel Murooj. I buy Groupon online and it’s often as little as $40 each. They have raw oysters flown in from France, shrimp cocktail, mussels, Sushi, smoked fish, grilled seafood including shrimp and ‘Lobster’ (Cigalia), shrimp tempura, fish cooked to order including sea bass. There is also hot dishes of shrimp biryani, seafood pizza, etc. Of course there is salad, dessert and cheese. This is currently the best value in seafood buffets in Dubai. I’ve live here since 1997.

@@mysticstrikeforce5957 I watched a lot of food channel and a big part of them sugar coat the food too much and only gave critizism when the food was straight up spoiled. Of course with the size of KZread you can always find a honest food review channel like Mike or the Suited fast food guy for example.

Mike thanks for showing yours out of town all the time. Am thinking to do it in the Philippines.

The first time seeing him actually dissing a restaurant. Honestly thought he was like TJ who says everything always tastes good. So glad he actually has opinions.

Southeast Asians getting increasingly triggered by his comment that the buffet had the best buffet laksa then he further proclaimed that it was the best laksa he ever had.

I think it might also be a middle eastern/Arab taste thing. Some cultures lean away from rare or medium cooked meats (unless it’s tartare). So their meats will always be a little well done for meat connoisseur’s tastes.

Most meats at buffets dry up under the heat lamps. The best choice is Brazilian-style buffets because the meats are brought straight from the grill and they are not left standing under heat lamps

Always like Mike’s honest review, if it’s not good he will say it’s not good unlike other reviewers. I had been to Dubai and the foods there tend to bland for my palate and everything is overpriced not only the food but also the drink and the entertainment it’s all about money in Dubai but not the quality.

Mikey, maybe you can do a "TOP 10 Best Buffets..." 😁😁😁

As someone form the north of the UK that is NOT a Yorkshire pudding , its a cheap imitation .

I'm from a part of Sweden where langosten is really prevalent, but there is also a tradition of going lobster fishing, so both are relatively inexpensive. And I got to say, I will pick langosteen over lobster every day of the week.

It's one of the reasons I keep watching your videos, along with how charming and lighthearted you keep things, as a rule. Of course, let us not forget how adorable you and Miss Christine are, and I don't care what some -people say; she's adding to your videos in a positive way, IMO. Keep up the good work, you two!

Mike. It's kinda hard to find in Korea these days, but I highly recommend you check out Roti Boy if you can. The bread there is delicious.

Now we know what to try. Dessert seems out of this world while the savoury dishes are sub-par at best.
