ok short story! So while in college in Kirksville Misery there was a KFC buffet near our college campus and we used to go on sundays after saving up for a week. We were all super poor college kids and my buddy used to sneak fried chicken out from the buffet to eat in the dorms. The method he used to sneak the FRIED chicken out was...put it down his pants....I know, yes I also asked him why he did that cause that's so gross. His response, I just washed my underwear.

ribeye thin strip is actually really easy to over or under cook. He was lucky it came out as medium. I have to often over cooked mine into medium by leaving it on the grill for 10 seconds to long as it cooks fast

Last time i was in japan, my wife lost maybe $30 USD on the games and one of the Japanese guys ended up winning about 2 games after my wife gave up and gave toy to my wife. :) Love Japan, everyone there is so friendly.

The original recipe for KFC isn't crispy. That's why extra crispy is best chicken at KFC.

Original recipe has always been like this.. at least in Australia and Asia. In Australia we get a special edition "Hot n Spicy" variety once a year which is covered in super crispy batter and extra spice. This is the good stuff!

The original recipe is NOT crispy; the Extra Crispy IS. WTH is Mikey thinking? Plus I only order the 10 piece for $10 dark meat. I can't stand the breast meat; too dry under that heat lamp.

There's no "Google employee" that checks for the working hours of places and checks them as closed/open, it's the users that do that. I was a "Local Guide" myself, where I'd review places and report any mistake I could see. Problem is, not everything is always visible to everybody. If the mall is closed, chances are the KFC is too. Don't trust Google *Maps* when it comes to rarely updated places (like restaurants).

No, the original KFC chicken was slightly crispy, cooked to a nearly walnut brown, and bones frequently broke while eating it. After the 70s, only once did I come across a duplicate of this type of chicken. It was from KFC and was original recipe that had been overcooked by several minutes. It was delicious, if not particularly crunchy.

One of the things that I was not expecting but was one of my favorite food things in Japan, was just how good the custards were or really anything with eggs. Just mind blowing how even the little flans from 7-eleven were so much better than anything I could get stateside. Mind blowingly good eggs.

Nah. I believe he does a lot of working out. He talks about going to a gym a lot. But I do believe his metabolism does play a big part.

The dry chicken may be a cause of rapid thaw. They instead of thaw it out normally over a few days in the refrigerator. They thawed it out less then a day. Which means that some chicken cooked semi frozen. Which makes the chicken and any meat tough and dry.

Anybody else died when Mike said “wow that’s a lot of grass”? 😂

20:44 Umm salt doesn't have any calories so it wouldn't make a difference. The lower calorie count has to be due to something else.

Right. I've never really known KFC to be crispy in any country i've tried it in.

Original recipe is not crispy nor has it ever been, it's not supposed to be. That's the way it is made by a lot of people here in the south, we do like crispy but the original recipe is more comfort food and brings back memories of home. But the crispy is crispy and I have always gotten it crispy with a few exceptions and that is when it has sat out for a while. It is a little upsetting that Mikey didn't know about original recipe.

I'm from an asian country and every kfc there has juicy chicken but not crispy

abura soba is one of my favorite noodles in japan. i think it is very underrated ;)

it’s getting to the point where i’m hungry but have no food so i watch mukbangs to fill me up instead

I've been to a few KFC buffets here in the US. Usually there's very few options for its moderate price but if you go right before the lunch rush the chicken will go as fast as they place it so you'll always have a stream of fresh flash fried chicken.

That original recipe at KFC in the 1970s was never made crispy or extra crispy. As a little kid I loved that soft steamed skin! You’re so lucky to have a buffet. I did make it to the regular KFC in Korea, but the only thing there that bothered me was the cars parked backwards😁
