    Might be just me but looks like the guys on the heavier classes always make it look like a gym lift, it's hard but they're in control and seems like they could still go for more if they needed it for the win, where as the guys on the lighter classes always look so high strung and like their whole bodies are about to snap if they don't drop that weight soon. Maybe because competition is more fierce in the light/middle weight classes?

  • @kblkbl

    @kblkbl

    6 жыл бұрын

    In lower weights it's a matter of strength, it higher weights it's a matter of speed. A 170kg front squat for a 56kg is much harder than a 263kg front squat for a 150kg+ lifter. Same with the jerk.

  • @ajh2

    @ajh2

    6 жыл бұрын

    Actually, if you look at Rezas competition stats e.g. at iwrp.net he did fail a lot of attempts but most people know only his succesful world records which always look easy because he had such enormous strength and excellent overhead stability that whenever he got the weight under control he could finish the lift looking like an empty bar. In a perfect day he might have had the capability to lift more than his official records but that applies to most of the top lifters and thinking that he always lifted under his limits implies looking only at his best performances, not his whole competition career.

    Lower weight classes simply have higher mobility so their lifts look more extreme in the sense that Their range of motion is almost comically huge. In a sense they can push themselves further than he heavier athletes because of that. Also they lift more weight in proportion to their body weight and they’re at a lower bodyfat which probably makes the lifts look that much more impressive

    RonnyDonny13 of course it does. They have Immensely better leverages because of it. Something that’s bigger and has more mass has more potential to move something heavier.

    They carefully select the top prospects from every corner of the country when they are very young and thousands of them are given top of the line coaching for their entire careers. You ahve to keep in mind that there are about 1,4 billion people living and China and their government are always searching for the biggest talent. Also asians have perfect body proportions (long torso short legs).
