This is now one of my favorite builds of all time, its a perfect mix of a roadkill style build, with hoonigan “ain’t care” attitude, and amazing engineering.

GENIUS level technician, artist, magician!!! LOVE this car!!

Absolutely incredible. One of the coolest builds I’ve ever seen on the Internet. What an amazing accomplishment.

@@barrylinkiewich9688 this is really just something any 17-23 year old and his buddies try to accomplish in their little buildings but unfortunately "young and dumb" doesnt always cut it. Take those ideas and try again in your late 30s - 40s and this is what you get. A mean, bad as f!#k, asphault ripping machine that looks like it has been decomissioned when in reality its been reconditioned.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the photographs? This dude is an amazing photographer. And, of course, the Firebird is amazing

I really like how humble and down-to-earth this car genius is, And this awesome build is a great motivator to a car guy like myself !

When he popped the hood I was like DAMN😳

The Formula 400 R is the most insane realization of a childhood dream that I've ever seen. My first car in HS was a 71 Formula 400, and around that time 1995, summit racing built a car named the quadradeuce. It was a hot rod with a modern awd drive-train. I remember reading that article and looking at my Firebird and thinking to myself... what if... I never told anyone, but apparently Greg heard me.

Robert Harmon I just looked up that car. I remember that article in Hot Rod where the car was on the cover. I brought that magazine as my reading material at Oakland MEPS when I was signing up footprint the Army.

Love it. I'm a 70-73 Firebird guy for sure. I love the engineering coupled with junkyard parts then engineering and internals where it matters. Great photography too! However... that's no Trans Am... Firebird fenders with no fender vents and a Formula hood... yeah, it was probably all cobbled from a junk yard too and.. .yeah, I dig it! Now... can I drive it??? :)

i watch this and i listen to this guy talk and it's IMPOSSIBLE not to like this guy Greg. i'd love to meet him some day.

Can we PLEEEEEASE GET A BUILD BIOLOGY ON THIS!?!?!?!?! Posted too soon I guess, 'cause this video really did cover what I wanted to know. However. This may be one of the all time coolest cars ever covered by hoonigan.

That yellow is cracked and crazing like that because it's latex house paint from 1982😅 Not my work. Some kid in Pine Valley Utah did it and put the decals and plastic tape graphics on the side. It had a 360hp 69 Grand Prix engine when I sold it. I wonder where that is?

That missing Bondo piece is from when I was rear -,ended in 1986 while running N50s and air shocks. It didn't fall off

I think he found the parts in the Hoonigan Racing Division castoffs, which is nice

And there is a GT-R 400R, so Formula 400R is a nice play on that. And it even came in yellow too

Just imagine for a moment having the talent it takes to build such a thing damn, this is awesome

That Car looks like one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Completely Badass. Kudos to Greg. Thanks for featuring on your Channel. Wish we could have seen it do a couple of Laps around the Track.

He is SO happy and there's something about seeing someone who is satisfied with the life they've built for themself over countless hours over many years. Awesome ride man.

To be able to take parts from so many cars, put them together into ONE car, and have it be better than the other cars is truly next level ability.

This GUY is my hero!! I loved the junkyard engineering! I loved doing that too! Had kids and left it alone. I remember those days walking through the aisles with toolbox, tape measure and caliper ! Some many parts are interchangeable if you have the knowledge! You can find stock parts that are Heavy Duty for your ride!

This man is a genius. It's incredible when someone is passionate what they can achieve.

This caught my eye because it's not another turbo build. Then it turns out to be Ken Block's main mechanic. Nice !

@@05EVORS when I first seen the picture of this car on Facebook and all the caption said was "AWD Supercharged Trans Am" I automatically assumed it was a Trailblazer SS or just a truck style setup. Then I ran across this video. In the first couple sentences he says "Ken Blocks lead mechanic" and right then I knew shit was about to get crazy LMAO. Awesome build for sure. Now we just need more video of it hooning!

Well that's 30 years plus worth of experience very well spent :-) He deserves an honorary doctorate in automotive engineering.

Auto focus is becoming one of my favorite Hoonigan channels. I can"t believe I have never heard of this amazing builder, Gregg, before now. Going to have to give him a follow on IG.

Gregg is so humble about this build. I love the petina and customization.

My first car was a 1971 Firebird with a 400 Big Block in it... this takes me back... LOVE IT!!

This is an absolute work of art. What an amazing car, executed to perfection. One of the coolest builds I've ever seen.

Understatement of the year. "It took a bit of sorting out." LOL This guy is a genius builder.

2:27 was a perfect shot with the birds flying off the ground before the car🤙🏽

Watched the whole video giddy and smiling. Which means it's special. Just wanted to hear and see a lil more driving. No shorting the conversation at all, just maybe 1 or 2 more minutes in the video:)))

Yeh, A kiwi will always crack a grin when discussing where or how the parts were acquired and adapted because inside were laughing uncontrollably in the knowledge that the component was made for a ton less $$$ and often works better than some exclusive high ticket super fruity tricked out shelf item someone with more money/less skill purchased, and a certain learned trick to get it working together is the one important thing being kept to ourselves. Cue mental image of someone sitting on the garage floor surrounded by scavenged parts and a beer, cursing profusely, stupefied as to why his bits don't go together like the ones seen on youtube.

Absolutely mind blowing!! I don't even have words for it!

30 years! experienced to say the least! He likes Trans Am just like me. This guy Is awesome!
