Thank you so much for reacting to this incredible song, and thank you for watching it all the way through without pausing. The mad genius who wrote this masterpiece died last Monday, so thank you for sharing his music with all your subscribers. His name is Jim Steinman and he wrote a tonne of songs like this for Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler and Celine Dion. Other Meat Loaf and Steinman tracks I’d highly recommend to react to are: Bat Out of Hell You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad Paradise By the Dashboard Light For Crying Out Loud Objects in the Rearview Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are Thank you once again. You felt this song, you lived it, you got it.

I've been a huge Meat Loaf fan since the 70s. This guy is just the ultimate entertainer in the purest form of the word. His real name is Marvin Lee Aday, but his nickname since high school was Meat Loaf (or just "Meat") and he decided to make that his professional name. He started in musical theater and also did some movie acting. One of his most famous movie roles was as "Eddie" in the legendary Rocky Horror Picture Show. When he decided to start a solo career (after a stint as the lead singer for Ted Nugent's band), he practically invented the genre sometimes called Theatrical Rock. He turns every performance into a mini-musical. I've had the great pleasure of seeing him live five times, and his concerts are huge spectaculars!! His Bat Out Of Hell album is considered one of the greatest albums of all time. My favorite song of his is Paradise By The Dashboard Light...and the video is a MUST see! His primary songwriter was Jim Steinman, a true musical genius who we sadly lost recently. Steinman was also the keyboardist for Meat Loaf's touring band.

The orginal song is about 12 mins long with the Guitar solo and the Banter between Meat and the Lovely Lady on what he will and won't do for love is cut in half, they LEGIT skip the whole lyric of her's: Will you make me some magic with your own two hands? Can you build an emerald city with these grains of sand? Can you give me something I can take home? With Meat replying " Now I can do that. Oh, oh now I can do that " I'd love to see y'all recat to the whole verison of this song...... has a great guitar solo in it and some lyrics were taken out of the orginal song cause of video restraints back then lol

Most people don't understand what "THAT" is. It can be tricky but if you listen to the sound in each choirs he tells her what he would do for love like her would run into hell and back, and then he says I would never lie to you and that's a fact, but I'll never forget the way you feel right now. THAT is what he won't do! He is promising that he will not treat her like others that have hurt her and that he will never lie or take her feelings for granted. If you listen the her lyrics at the end she asks if he would do the things that her love life has been missing he says he can do that then she says how apprehensive she is because the men in her past have treated her wrong, he says he won't do that!❤ Now when you listen to this beautiful song by this beautiful man the words are going to click.

Easily the best reaction to this song and video I have seen. I loved how invested you two were in the story. Thank you for this. I am a romantic guy and the end of the video leaves me in tears every time.

So good to see Rich's emotional reaction to this song . Kel picked up on it beautifully and shared it with us all. A tender, loving moment that has become my fav moment between them. What makes it so special to me is that normally we react to Kel's emotion whilst Rich looks on. This was about him letting her know how this song makes him feel about her - that was clear to see. Wonderful.

This is an artistic masterpiece, without doubt. The voices, lyrics, production values, concept, video... with passion, feeling, beauty & impact. What a beast! I love thinking that the world went nuts for this over 30 years ago. It's uplifting knowing that people recognise and celebrate such good music. What an epic piece of Meatloaf's legacy. Meatloaf is sorely missed. Rest in peace, big man ❤

Before becoming a rock singer, Meat Loaf (Marvin Aday) was a trained classical vocalist and Broadway-experienced actor, both of which he incorporated into his theatrical on stage performances.

The genius behind this is none other than Jim Steinman. Bonnie Tyler, Meatloaf, Barry Manilow, Celine Dion, and who knows how many more. The greatest behind the lines composer ever. The entire movie Streets of Fire contains his talent.

The female vocalist is Lorraine Crosby. She sung the guide vocals on the track that was sent to Meat Loaf for consideration. During production, and considering many other vocalists they kept going back to the original demo tape, eventually using Lorraine Crosby for the final version. I don't know the specifics but there were technicalities that meant she never received a single penny for any royalties despite this selling literally millions of copies.
